1. Aaron's 2nd game and late on action galore again resulting in a second win for him - two from two! 2. LTC tries really, really hard, but just doesn't have the physical presence needed in midfield these days. Give him time and space and you might have a quality ball playing midfielder, but teams that press and target him (like Watford did today) and he just ends up panicking. 3. Three Centre Backs patently does not work - despite meaning five in midfield, the gaps between the defence and the half way line were immense; Watford hung on to possession easily for the first hour and there seemed to be precious little pressing. 4. Alarmingly, despite putting Junior on for Traore, this didn't mean a change in formation - Arry thought it'd be a good idea to play him at Wing Back - he did OK, but is not a wing back in anyone's imagination. 5. Traore played well - I thought he was limping early on, but grew into the game. He even got up after a heavy knock - no more sick note, we hope (or playing for a new contract?). That back tracking tackle was a highlight. 6. Equally, Simpson played well, but I see him as a modern day proper right back and would like to see him there in a 4 man defence. 7. Richard Dunne is fading fast this year - good work on the extra year, Landlord - nice last pay packet for you. 8. Onuoha also grew into the game with some crunching tackles, but started pretty poorly (as did many of our players). 9. Very impressed with Barton's work ethic since realising he had to stay here and applied himself well today - top free kick, but wtf is that alice band all about? 10. Doyle ran his arse into the ground in the first half an hour; shame it was all in the defensive half though... 11. Quality strike from Charlie, but I think he's been rushed back too soon; just not sure he's fit yet... 12. Morrison appears to be of the same ilk as Adel, but just not quite as good. He goes to ground way too easily and that will influence referees the wrong way. Like Adel, if only he'd look up (or decided to pass now and then...). 13. I dunno what it is, but although individuals work hard, there seems to be a lack of understanding and urgency through this team and I think it is that which will cost us through the playoffs. Other teams hunt together as a unit (as Watford did today) and I don't think our midfield is smart / physical enough to withstand pressure. 14. Of course, the other thing that will cost us the play offs is Harry Redknapp. We're going to need to get a result away from home and I think he's too keen to change things away from home and with all those bloody players he has at his disposal, he won't be able to resist tinkering more. Can Remy and Taarabt play during the Play-offs????
Good old Dylan -1; if only Rangers were as reliable!
nice touch....the bloke takes time to do a well thought out post , a solid contribution if you will, and with a flick of the finger he tears a million souls apart...
our dylan, the lfw answer to spock ..i think rather than down arrows, the binary code boys with their pure logic , should engage us in battle in the 'amok time' arena...dave b can play t'pau.

I hope Aaron is going to the playoffs and is a junior st holder next season!
Can't disagree with much of your post but I thought Hoilett was very good when he came on. Tracking back and making tackles! He wasn't doing that a few weeks ago! When your chasing the game you have to get width and pace, so I think 3 at the back is a good tactic then.
