" I guess in four or five years, the new generation's music will be .. electronics, tapes. I can kind of envision .. maybe one person .. with a lot of machines, tapes, and electronics setups, singin or speaking .. and using machines " James Douglas Morrison | 1969
Jeez that's so sad. Now they are ALL dead. Well the other side will be rocking tonight anyway. That must be the first band ever of which all of the original members have died.

RIP The Ramones. Probably the greatest ever US guitar band.
'The Ramones' was the first punk album I ever heard. Still remember how mesmerised I was with the minimalist stereo production - bass and drums in one channel, guitar and vox in the other.
Tommy didn't write too many songs but he did write this one or at least the music for it - one of their best. Dee Dee wrote the lyrics and he was actually brought up in Germany - Berlin in fact, so sort of appropriate with the World Cup final tomorrow:

RIP. Never into the Ramones, but most of their stuff was listenable. Sad that they have all gone. The Jimi Hendrix Experience are indeed all gone and I'm sure all of the members of the 70's rock/pop band Badfinger are too. Most of them took their own lives. Grim.
Lots of bands with 50% or 75% of their members gone, most notably The Beatles and The Who.
