Another big punch up yesterday at the gee gee’s this time haydock Park. Happened a few times last year and seems to becoming more regular.

Hours of drinking, a few grams of coke and a big open space. What could possibly go wrong?

However anyone who goes to Cheltenham dressed as the Peaky Blinders deserves whatever they get.

Violent criminal activity is part and parcel of race course history. The punch ups that make today’s news though are usually marching powder fuelled altercations between semi retired football hooligans.

Sad to see it at a jumps course, which is usually much more family friendly than the flat tracks in the summer.

Contrast with Irish course, and I'm not saying there isn't any trouble at all, but everyone's still getting pissed up, but a totally different vibe. In Ireland, racing is positioned as a sport and people come for the spectacle. In the UK, it's marketed as a giant piss up, and this is the end result

The bigger issue unfortunately is the coke that goes with it.

Poll: How old is everyone on here?

Of course, but that's par for the course in the UK now.

If you market yourself solely as a tank up destination, then in 2019 gear goes with that
