Give Kolli the first hour on Wednesday. Not that he’s been any good recently but he’s fresh and presumably fit. Feels a ticking time bomb à la Burrell.
I like Cook. I also think, dreadful as it’s been recently, giving Dunne and Edwards a run together as the likely pair next season isn’t the worst thing on the face of it. Despite Dunne’s error today and Edwards at Hull, they aren’t the problem IMO on the pitch.
Doubt it’s a contract thing as he got his extra year due to the previous contract’s clause. He’s on 28 appearances (including the cup) so it’s possible but that would be unusual.
I’d have him in and have Edwards in the place of either of the wastes of space in front of the defence.
Not expecting anything of course and it could easily be another shellacking but they aren’t the worst team to be playing right now. Lost three in a row, fans not happy with the manager, season basically over unless they do some thing silly like eight wins in ten. A forgettable 0-0 to keep both teams just about away from their respective baying mobs isn’t out of the question. We’ll still lose obviously.
Possibly the last player of all I’d be digging out. Works hard for lost causes with no service while carrying an injury various others in the squad would be out for months with in his first season at this level. He’s one of the few positives of the season, imperfect as he is.
Boro are a very good side by our league’s standards but I don’t think today is any indication of whether they’ll go up at all or how they would get on in the best league in the world (TM). We’d have made Oxford look similarly good today.
There’s nothing here. We aren’t quick or strong or good on the ball or defensively solid or direct or shithousey. We’re just out there hoping. This was always going to be a very tough game. Smash someone, make it ugly, be direct. We’ve played like a bad academy team.
Only been as a neutral of course and in the posh seats rather than ‘The Wall’ but it is amazing good one to see for the first time in the way it is with a big foreign ground. Surreal really walking up as you’re still in Tottenham. The mad rush for the 20% general sale with some people able to get and others crashing on the ticket page will be Wrexham x1000.
Not a great start to the league fixtures with a loss at home to Morecambe who themselves are in a bit of a false position after the clown show there last year. Some vintage ex-Football League/ current Undr The Cosh likely guests playing for Morecambe. Harlee Dean.
Huge win for Ipswich. From the point of view of praying for three worse teams again next season we could do with Hull staying down as a team ripe to collapse next time. They’ve done incredibly well as one of the pre-season faves to go down.
Not directly related but quite an interesting piece on the general behaviour towards away fans. Liverpool strip searching a child I would have thought is not all that legal.
Level with sixth on goal difference I think. Ten points off in the blink of an eye.
More interested in the carnage at the bottom of the league with Oxford closing the gap and everyone else losing. Leicester and West Brom are lucky they’ve got each other for company.
I normally return to my spot as we’re trundling out in twos and threes with the opposition ready and waiting. Returned a bit earlier on Saturday to see all of their subs warming up including goalkeepers and none of ours and then we took to the pitch well after they did. I can’t believe JS/staff aren’t picking up a link between this and our awful form early in second halves.
Spurs at home to a not great Palace team seeing the season out and without Lacroix now after that joke red card. Lose that and I’ll really believe. Even more so if West Ham put some pressure on with a result at Fulham.
