Techie help (Non QPR) please 13:19 - Aug 26 with 667 views

Everything working on laptop/internet except Outlook.

Loads OK but won't send/receive anything, just get 'error'. Says I'm 'connected' though.

E mail account working fine on webmail. Had the account for ages, not changed provider/password or anything like that.

Been like it for 2 days now, despite restarting laptop and turning on/off obviously.

Any ideas? - replies in low tech English please!

I know someone who had a similar problem recently. It turned out that there is a “large items” folder in Outlook which stores large files like photos inside. Emptying that fixed it for them.

Also check all passwords have been entered correctly.

I think the (non existent) prize goes to 2T2B - I looked where to re enter password and found 'Repair Account' and that seems to have worked!

I LOVE this site - now if anyone could arrange a few games for me to referee.......................
