The loans and short term buys this season - Near end of term School Reports 17:42 - Apr 5 with 1237 viewsnumptydumpty

1. Tim

I think personally for a 19 year old central midfielder, he has shown enough to prove he can hack it and will be a success.

As far as we are concerned, I feel he has performed reasonably well in a misfiring team. Heads up for me !!!

2. Laird

Started off extremely promisingly but form dipped badly and then got injured and my view was outperformed over a period by Kakay replacing him.

I think he has promise but when the chips were down he literally "sat down" and downed tools.

3. Balogun

Blimey. Was great again at start of the season but picked up a dreadfully long and mysterious injury and on his return within minutes committed a foul that cost us the match and then had the temerity "allegedly" to turn on the travelling fans. Not a good look, however it's dressed up.

4. Clarke Salter

Possibly decent but made of glass and always going to be a sick note. Disappointing due to injury prone in the extreme.

5. Paal

Pretty consistent although effected by the malaise within the squad and missed several games but reasonable acquisition.

6. Roberts

Looks like he could be a player but ridiculously powder puff and seems to have a long term love affair with the treatment table.

7. Richards

Cut and paste as per player no. 6 as above, although his injuries seem to be of an unexplained nature.

8. Lowe

Looked promising acquisition in first cameo but quickly fell into line with the general stick in mud attitude of the squad he had joined.

9. Martin

Cut and paste as per player no 8. as above.

Therefore in conclusion.

Mr Tim and Mr Kenneth have been fairly moderate acquisitions.

The rest, all for me, dumb, dumber and dumbest !!!

The biggest problem with Tim for me is if he was our own player, I wouldn't mind some of the mistakes he has made as we would be developing our own player. However, we won't get anything out of his development this year, Villa and whoever he is loaned to next season, will.

He likely to be more expensive next season though, I would assume.
