I have to say that apart from Chair turning back into trouble and to concede the corner that led to the goal instead of launching it up field and the very poor marking at the far post from Bannan - and the fact this wasn't the greatest performance, we are still looking lightyears better than we ever did under Gareth.
Poor decision making and that creeping lack of concentration did us again, but in between and in spells we play some really good football. Fair play to Wednesday, they pushed us back and bashed away until they got what they needed. Bannan for me is just a class act. Superb player that has never been given a chance to shine at the top level or be properly recognised. A true playmaker.
So, very disappointing but not a disaster unless the players decide to wallow in it. That is one of Marti's real challenges here, keeping the mentality right. And finding at least one half decent and half experienced striker in the window for a portion of chips and a can of Fanta.
