| Nightmare start to the New Year as Norwich beat QPR again - Report on 10:00 - Jan 3 with 2355 views | Paddyhoops | Fair play for getting that many lines out of that dross. We do it all again tomorrow when it’s even colder against a side who are even worse than Norwich, which takes some doing. Do they do a Sunday Lunch in the crown ? If so , could be the highlight of the day. Happy new year. | | | |

After the Leicester win I was more than hopeful of us possibly straying into the play off positions and even staying there for a bit. But of course, no. And I should know better. I'm more hacked off about this 'performance' than any I can remember for a good while (home v Blackburn under Ainsworth perhaps the exception). This bloody club - they trick you into momentarily believing, hoping, and then of course those hopes are mercilessly dashed. Really excited for tomorrow now. | |

| Nightmare start to the New Year as Norwich beat QPR again - Report on 11:55 - Jan 3 with 1876 views | Noelmc | Thanks Clive for articulating so well what many of us feel after Thursday. As a season ticket holder for more than 45 years I tend not to get too up or down after very good or very bad performances as the other extreme will usually follow shortly behind. However, this 'performance' has really pi**ed me off. I can only think it's because like many I sensed an upward trend as our recent recruitment seemed to bring in the 'right sort' of players and I hoped that as they gelled and developed we would steadily improve. However the matches since Boxing Day and especially Thursday have shown the opposite with players such as Vale, Morgan, Saito, Kone and even Burrell regressing. I can't believe we had a debate on here less than 2 weeks ago if a fit Chair would get back in the team. I do worry about tomorrow (Sheff Wed 8.6 on Betfair Exchange!) and hope Julien and the team prove me wrong in the second half of the season by performing a positive turnaround from the Christmas debacle but my current expectations are low. As soon as that 1st Norwich goal went in, just knew it was all over for us. Is it the Barry Bannan show we will have to suffer yet again on Sunday?, watched that bloke quite a few times at Loftus Road just run the game for Sheff Wed, just hope we actually turn up, if not it is classic Charity Park Rangers again! | | | | Login to get fewer ads
| Nightmare start to the New Year as Norwich beat QPR again - Report on 14:07 - Jan 3 with 1488 views | mart_Goblin | Great report . Agree with every word. Looking to tomorrow , if we have to sit watch another QPR side let Goblin Bannon stroll around and dictate another match between the two sides I might just bloody explode . Every QPR fan either at the game or not will know what he will do so if we allow him the freedom of H&F yet again then I might not be responsible for my actions. Oh and does anybody know where Ilias is, what his injury even is and when he will be back? We really fooled Norwich didn’t we in not saying anything about his whereabouts. I do know this . He and his family were supposed to be at the game Thursday. He and they were not . Edit.- Just seen there is a match thread for tomorrow . Apologies [Post edited 3 Jan 14:35]

What is the benefit we gain from losing the benefits of a quick delivery or a cross from the byline? I can only assume it’s to make sure that they can use their stronger feet when playing back to the keeper. [Post edited 3 Jan 15:48]

| Nightmare start to the New Year as Norwich beat QPR again - Report on 18:03 - Jan 3 with 980 views | rbee | bosh67 asked after the game 'Is anyone else feeling a bit depressed this evening?' At the time I wasn't but I am now after reading this! | | | |
| Nightmare start to the New Year as Norwich beat QPR again - Report on 20:30 - Jan 3 with 729 views | ManinBlack | Another fine summary of us in our latest season of turning a few corners to improve only to find another dead end in the maze we weave for ourselves. This feels like an annual sabbatical and it is hard to argue we won't find that we will be in the same place in 5 years time. While we flounder around we see teams who came up from league 1 such as Ipswich, Luton, Sunderland go into the Premiership. The latter club were in crisis when they dropped into league 1 and now look at home in the Premiership. There is a good chance Coventry could go up this season and now Wrexham have sneaked above us. The issue that personally bugs me is why other clubs can turn their fortunes round so quickly while we spend a decade finishing in the bottom half of the table with little evidence of improvement. Our win ratio against clubs such as Norwich is dreadful where they beat us when they were a yo yo club and still beat us when they are dross. It's right to mention the 3-2 win over Brentford as we only beat them twice in 11 meetings before they went up and it was a similar story with Fulham. In our last 8 meetings with Brighton before their promotion we won none. If somehow we scraped promotion through the play offs I wouldn't hold out much hope of beating sides we struggled against in the Championship. Next up the Owls with our one win in the last 8 meetings. Is it any wonder we have fans like myself getting depressed with this never ending phobia we have beating certain clubs at this level? Nothing changes. We always lose to the bottom three it is in our DNA partly due to small club mentality. We can't beat Sheffield United /Wednesday and Norwich as all bigger clubs despite their league position. I find some of our performances cowardly and Norwich was one of them.
