I like Koki a lot, but that was a really piss-poor showing from him today. For my money, JS should drop him for the West Brom game for Smyth, who you always know what you'll get from.
At half-time, I'd have had Dembele off like a shot, but he did get his finger out to good effect in the 2nd half, and showed some real flashes of heart and quality. Meanwhile, Varane continues to under-deliver - he's like Mikele Leigertwood on Temazepam most of the time!
I'd consider changing it up against WBA and bringing in two or more of Hayden, Field, Poku, and Morgan, but I think we'll be lucky (again) to get a point up there. Maybe JS will do something different this time and get us playing for the first half and phoning it in for the second.
Dembele has a habit of leaving huge gaps and Varanne is the one who has to cover, seems to put him off his step.
Much better second half from him. I honestly thought today we would rotate a bit, was stunned to see the same 11 trott out after half time.
P1ss was boiling.
Good captains goal saved the blushes today. it was still shit.
He reorganised and the players had a chance to put things right, which they did. Dozell and the left winger had been very effective in the first half but disappeared from the game in the second. Only Chaplin kept his form for as long as he was on the pitch. He said the was about to make a triple sub and then delayed it when we equalised.
Making subs isn't the only way to change things on the pitch.
Agree with some rotation. The two guys who need a break are Burrell and Madsen. I can see alternatives for Burrell, but there's noone to replace Nicholas effectively.
Yes, I would like Poku to get a start soon. Thought Cook improved in the second half but hopefully Ronnie signs next week. It feels greedy but we still need another forward - God knows what the real story is regarding Kolli, while Frey looks worse every time he plays.

Shame about Frey. I remember the Luton away game last season where he scored a great goal himself and out muscled 3 defenders to lay on a goal for Madsen. Just age caught up with him I guess.

He's 31, and he's played about 300 professional games! There's something wrong with his engineering. We need to upgrade him urgently.
Frey did ok for us, he just doesn’t fit into the formation we play now.
Regards Saito, been poor recently. Problem is, Chair aside, who is any good on the wide left position? Vale looked uncomfortable over there, Dembele and Smyth don’t like it either, Poku also a no-no.
Unlike LFW we’ve got loads on the right but very few on the left.
Smyth should start regardless against WBA, and he can switch left and right as needed. Koki needs to smile a little less (I know it's sweet) and develop a bit of steel.
Think he should change things But I understand how giving players time to find their form islso important, but for how long?
Poku looks a bit special from his brief sojourns onto the field so would like him starting. Varane I find infuriating at times with his wayward/kamekazi passing.
WBA have Molumby in centre mid who is often a thorn in our side so would like to see Hayden pitched in along side Madsen.
Left back continues to be a problem with RND game time so I think put Field in there.
As said Saito, Varane, RND rested field Hayden poku in. Strangely keep Dembele in not sure why I scream at him much of the time but kind of see what he could do. For me Smyth better but I’m not the manager.

I think Saito is fine myself but both himself and Dembele dont suit our away style of play.
For me away from home, I would select Poku, Chair and Smyth for the two starting positions.
If its now felt Poku can do 60 minutes at West Brom, I would select him to start West Brom bringing on Dembele at that time.
Left side probably have Smyth and again hopefully Chair is fit enough to come on as sub.
But yes would still have Saito involved for the new years home games, myself.
So we've signed a player for £3m who is clearly ill-suited to meeting the rigours and different set of demands that are generally associated with playing away from home. Genius.

Which one did we sign for £3m and how do you know the transfer fee?
How is it common knowledge? It was reported by one outlet in Belgium as £2.7m but that's just speculation because the actual fee remains undisclosed.
The same consistent information was provided by more than one solitary outlet in Belgium, corroborated by reliable sources on matters QPR, such as Dave McIntyre. Unless you can provide evidence to the contrary that he's been signed for significantly less, then I'm inclined to believe the likes of the aforementioned.
Literally every time Cook has a 6/10 game we are told his legs are gone and he is past it. Yes, he is not in his prime but he is still a damn useful defender to us and will be absolutely vital for the rest of the season when required.
I've said it before, no doubt I will say it again - one of the most underrated signings and players we have had for a long time.
