| Is anyone else feeling a bit depressed this evening? 20:50 - Jan 1 with 3003 views | bosh67 | Perhaps it's just that it's the first day of the year and my team phoned in a performance? It's the hope that kills you should definitely be the motto on the club badge. I don't usually feel too down about results but for some reason this one has floored me a bit. Anyone else feeling like that tonight? | |

| Is anyone else feeling a bit depressed this evening? on 20:57 - Jan 1 with 1995 views | colinallcars | Me too….a lot more than is usually the case. Other news from around the world has depressed me today as well. I think feeling like this is a pretty normal reaction. | | | |
| Is anyone else feeling a bit depressed this evening? on 21:03 - Jan 1 with 1924 views | Wegerles_Stairs | It was a very poor first half with both teams looking decidedly average. So they come back out and rather than stepping it up, we're one down straightaway. Did their keeper even have to make a save in the remaining 53 minutes? I missed the goal. The third poor performance in a row and very much deja vu as Clive suggested in his preview. Will we ever get out of this division? Sisyphus has nothing on us. Even our fellow Championship addicts Preston look more likely to get out of it than us. I wouldn't say I'm depressed because it's just football but it was such a tedious way of spending New Year's Day. Let me roll that boulder up the hill again... [Post edited 1 Jan 21:10]

| Is anyone else feeling a bit depressed this evening? on 21:10 - Jan 1 with 1868 views | NorthantsHoop | I knew as soon as the first ten minutes unfolded that we were just not at this game, Norwich looked more up for it and it was obvious whoever scored first would win this. Their defence well in control especially no.33 who was their best player. Our boys looked well off it and got punished. | | | |

| Is anyone else feeling a bit depressed this evening? on 21:16 - Jan 1 with 1755 views | stainrods_elbow | I'm one who can empathise, man. This afternoon was a real downer. Personally, I'm like most fans, I suspect - I mainly want to see our players play for the badge, with heart and passion, in a shape and set-up that, at least some of the time, works in a way I can make some kind of sense of, backed up by a professional coaching set-up that gets the club, gets the Champ, and doesn't insult the intelligence of fans. Basically, that's right, a professional football club. Clearly, I'm delusional. I've watched QPR for half a century now (and it felt like today's game aged me another half), and I don't think I'm (that) stupid. What do I get instead? A team that you don't know what you'll get from from one game, and even one half, to the next, phones it in when it's a bit cold or they're north of Watford (or just at Watford), and a manager who shrugs his shoulders and smiles professionally while showing a complete inability to change things proactively in a game that aren't working or tell us what he's going to be working on to improve things. And, if it needs to be said again, the constant special pleading, now embedded to a point of perverse organisational pride and deliberate downward management, about too many games, too much travelling, the wrong travelling at the wrong times, plus (just to make it clear to us how unimportant we truly are to them) misinformation and/or no information about injuries (don't get me started on JCS) and contracts etc. All of which is why, if I still lived in the UK and could watch them more than now and then in the flesh, I'd be picking my games very carefully, and at least some of the time voting with my feet. If I had to compare QPR to a woman, I'd describe her as someone I'm still reluctantly in love with, but who as often as not makes me feel worse about myself, because she just doesn't give it back and may well be mentally ill. | Is anyone else feeling a bit depressed this evening? on 22:08 - Jan 1 with 1547 views | eghamranger | I’m not happy with the manager. Why all the changes? There just isn’t any continuity with the team, numerous changes starting with the keeper. The ex loan players that we have now bought, for decent money are not pulling their weight. We need to win to get promoted, we wouldn’t stay in the premier league if we did get promoted, and 2 goals from 4 matches today in the premier league, so boring. Would Ronnie want to join us full time? If he did would he do the same as Hayden and saito. Happy new year everyone lol | | | |

I just don’t get it. You’re living the dream, working the dream yet produce recurring nightmares. Mr Elbow is spot on and tonight I wish i lived further away than Reading. See u Sunday guys

Daft isn’t it but yes I’m a bit down too. I find the Rangers act as a catalyst one way or another. They can turn a grey day blue and white, maybe with a bit of sun, but blimey, it takes a pretty good day not to have a significant damper on it thanks to a game like today. An evening like the Birmingham one gave me and my Rangers supporting sons a really special shared joy..but today, well that’s football..or at least when you support a proper team like we do. It’s so long since we had proper fun supporting the R’s that lasted a season isn’t it. Thought this could be it now..but it isn’t is it? Unless, unless…FA Cup? Come on Julian..at least give us a few weeks of fun for a change.

| Is anyone else feeling a bit depressed this evening? on 23:03 - Jan 1 with 1250 views | charmr | Yea today affected me more than a game in a while. Just the general malaise that is Queens Park Rangers. My Norwich mate predicted 3-0 to us then crowing after the game complaining about the extra 9 mins. Lot of people know fcuk all about football and he’s one of them. Running joke in my Baltimore fraternity. | | | |

It's not just losing - it's how you lose, ain't it? Today, the 'how' was pretty much as depressing as it gets.

Your comparison with the McLaren season is becoming uncannily accurate.Today’s result parallels the New Year loss to Bolton in that year. Now, we can only await with trepidation the result against this year’s Rotherham (Sheffield Wednesday) to complete the picture.
| Is anyone else feeling a bit depressed this evening? on 12:18 - Jan 2 with 767 views | daveB | It's a tough one as we're all fans so when we play like we did against leicester we are top of the world and you serve up that tripe yesterday and it feels like the end of the world. Always worth rembering we were not world beaters after Leicester and are not the worst team ever today but thats easy to say and wasn't how I felt during that second half yesterday | | | |
