QPR to beat Middlesbrough in the race for Nigerian defender 05:05 - Jul 15 with 2183 views | UPPERLOFTNZ | http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/qpr-to-beat-middlesbrough-in-the-race-for-niger QPR are poised to beat Hull City and Middlesbrough to the signature of Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo, according to AfricanFootball.com. The 20-year old defender recently signed a new four-year contract with Chelsea following his return from a successful loan spell with Middlesbrough in which he made 14 league appearances. Omeruo has vast experience in football having spent two years in Holland with ADO Den Haag in the Eredivisie and six months playing with Middlesbrough in the Championship. The defender also has 17 caps for his nation and featured in the World Cup in Brazil, receiving credit and praise for his performances during the tournament. It is thought that Chelsea are wanting to send the defender out on loan again but to a Premier League side and Hull were originally favourites. But now it seems QPR could be set to swoop for the 20-year old in a loan deal where he is guaranteed first-team football. Despite opposing interest from the Premier League, Middlesbrough are hopeful of securing his signature yet again but the do face a tough job to do so.

Donaldson will get his chance - just needs Ferdinand, Caulker, Ned, Dunne and Hill to pick up injuries at the same time and that other CB berth will be his.

Hear hear sir! I pray we avoid this one. We hire Rio for a year to develop our centre-backs but actually they're being developed for Chelscum's benefit. NO THANK YOU. I'd sooner have a porous defence and get relegated.
