Like so many of our players under Stephane, they seem to genuinely be being coached to improve individually whilst being drilled on the their roles in the formation for each game. Every player in the current first team squad (well those uninjured at least) seems to have improved under his management and coaching this year.
so sorry to hear of your loss. I also had the pleasure of meeting you and your father briefly when I flew back from Beijing to catch my first game that season. A truly lovely man. Thoughts are with you and the whole family at this time.
Organised, passionate and playing for each other at this point. Players trust the manager and seeing real development and belief in players to how he is working with each of them to improve them. Handling of Alfie Lloyd is good example. Peripheral player over past year or so now being given the opportunity and support to play each week. His physicality and skill levels have improved and is now a definite part of the squad. JS is developing the talent we have and squad has been added to well.
No-one looks to us as easy points, real steel and presence in the squad and no fear of the opposition. Few points short perhaps (lot of worldy saves by opposition keepers) but given erosion of key roles through injury especially up front, we are doing really well. Momentum is everything over next month.
Feels a bit like Dunne in his approach when he was playing as out an out right back. Not the fastest but by God he doesn't stop trying and has a decent cross and bits of skill you don't expect. He is going to be a good signing for us.

Just looking at us at 50-1 with Paddy Power.... Given pre-season we have had, improved conditioning and relative weakness of the league this year, that looks a very generous price. Whisper it, but I think we might be quite useful this season.
Appreciate he has previously been quite prolific and has a bit about him. However, 28 year old striker with poor injury record and barely played last season. Not sure that really fits the model.
Given the source is not exactly a good one (and ignores the other strikers we currently have on the books) I think best to mark this one as speculative at best. Looks more like an agent pushing something to get his now unemployed client a new contract.
