Great report as always Clive. Very poignant moment in the tunnel video when Ollie hugs Mackie. Both in tears. Very moving.

Never knowingly right.

Ilias Chair is a gem of a player, and couldn't agree more on man of the match.

Three additional points on Chair's performance:
-it was incredibly clever and unselfish of him to play the square ball to bright on the first goal rather than trying to selfishly shoot through a crowd
-at around the 60th minute mark, his first touch in controlling a ball that had been up at least 20-25 feet in the air was absolutely sublime
-he was an absolute terrier chasing everything down out of possession... Ollie clearly coached that into him because I hadn't previously seen that side of his game before

hes a very interesting player... dare I say it, he has some wilshere qualities

I love that he's constantly buzzing in and around the ball. against mk dons in the cup, he was constantly passing and moving and probably had more touches than everyone else on the pitch... the potential 1-2 linkup between him freeman and eze can be something special.... chair is the kind of player who can totally change our style of play... his short passing is already excellent, and he has the potential to be one of the best short passers in the division

on the flipside, he seems to like to collect the ball deeper in the pitch, kind of in the scowen position.... chairs going to have to learn to take his first touch a bit higher up the pitch or and also learn how to play the longer ball... given his diminutive nature, if he makes a mistake on the ball deep on the pitch, he's unlikely to be able to clean up his mess...

also needs to work on his weaker foot.... this will come with time and coaching, though

we just need to figure out how to harness his incredible technical ability

Cracking report. Hugely enjoyable and bang on the money.

Thanks as ever, Clive.
