Interesting, that could be a game changer. Surely this must mean the death of our youth system as the big boys will soon hoover up absolutely anyone British and u18 who has a chance of making it? We won't get a look in now.

Also, presumably "Britishness" will judged purely on whether you have a passport. Otherwise Kakay, Hamalaiman, BOS, Dieng and Chair wouldn't have been in the English for us to pick up.

I presume that it's just the same set of rules that a player from say Argentina would have to go through today? Albeit that mythical Italian grandparent is no longer helpful for English teams.

Not sure, clubs like Chelsea have used Europe as a temporary storage facility for their 245 loans a year, I'd imagine that will stop being as appealing, maybe the bigger clubs will just change the way they operate.

Watford are also going to struggle with shuttling players back and forth to Italy in the same way they do now
