Post Punk etc urrgh 23:58 - Jul 15 with 596 viewsqprxtc

I’ve been listening to a really entertains pod cast by three Aussie chaps, podcast is called Known Pleasures.

It’s a really entertaining podcast about an era of music that, you know , is up for grabs.

Simon Reynolds, author of the authoritative,Rip it up and Start Again, book of this escapade, feels XTC, have no place AT ALL in its landscape. C unt. But that’s his opinion.

But then, the title , as EVERTING in life is subjective.

Unless we ARE right. Right.

(Maryla, tell Sean to shut up).🍻

Is there a definition to post punk

Or is it a load of cock

fck knows, mate. Googled it, says it's music influenced by punk, but generally less aggressive and more experimental.

Were xtc post punk? Does it matter? If you like it, wear it! Maybe that's what punk should have taught us - for years, in the name of rebellion and free thought, I would only listen to loud and fast music. I probably missed loads that i would have liked if i'd given it a chance.

Anyway, a post punk (Apparently) banger I've been listening to a lot lately, shouting along to, even!
