The Championship & the Laegue Cup 09:56 - Aug 10 with 1847 viewsterryb

This season 12 Championship clubs have played & lost to teams from Leagues 1 & 2, with 4 of those losing on penalties!

Currently, only Watford, Burnley, Norwich & Preston are in round 2. The first 2 are exempt until the next round & the last 2 beat fellow Championship sides.

I can't recall this amount of carnage previously!

Not fair on the fans like many old school l love to have a good go at a cup run so many championship clubs mine included treat it as a chance to give rarely used squad players a run out.Won’t ever change while the rewards for promotion is massive financially
