The board game/comedy bar has been put out of its misery and O’Donoghue’s is back. Ripped off the new signage and there it is. They’ve gone for a pleasingly retro Sky Sports and pool table concept, I hope it works for them.

I lived in a flat right opposite O'Donoghue's and did many a night at 10pm say "I'll pop over for a couple of pints" only to leave at 2am. Some great nights in there, including an evening with Alan McDonald and Kevin Gallen. Pretty sure I saw the Wolfe Tones there as well but that's a bit more hazy.
