New Manager Bounce Effect 15:53 - Dec 12 with 1084 viewsnumptydumpty

The last time apparently a new manager achieved a haul of 11 points from first 6 games played was under Don Howe in 1989 !!

Wow. What a stat !!

For Marti to achieve that with a complete change in style too and having all the players buying into it, is an astonishing achievement.

And having it as a 16 man game and rotating players to protect from injuries and not being afraid to introducing youth players and peripheral squad members and for the achievement that all players are aware of the very different roles they can play at any given time.

It's quite remarkable.

Appreciate we are only six games in but I feel this guy is going places, even coming across as highly professional but likeable also.

Think he knows how to do an often undervalued part of management these days also - the post match interviews.

The fans singing his name repeatedly from day one also is quite amazing.

Probably though the changes are so recognised because the before and after is a very distinct chalk and cheese scenario.

I appreciate if we lose to both Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday then not sure how we will all react but currently this seems overwhelmingly positive.

I was going to every game like the players were too, totally defeated before a ball had been kicked.

The difference is astonishing and as a QPR fan this is a rare beast.

This is the line that is probably going to come back and bite me on the bum big time, but I expect this process to continue upwards and I feel it will continue to happen.

Marti for PM I say....
