I often think this yet there are so many variables / moving pieces and elements of chance at play. Of course those players would have wanted to play like that in every game, just like Leeds did not intentionally turn-up and play like they just met for the first 30mins.
Was it because we were that good on the day or they were a bit shit, probably a bit of both.
If Rodon doesn't stick his chest out keeper saves it, if Sommerville tucks that in at the back post its a different game. So many factors can change the course of the game, we just kept doing more of the right thing than they did. Home support, 2 days extra rest, mid game momentum, missed chances, so many random things that on this occasion we took advantage of and turned into a great night. [Post edited 29 Apr 2024 11:58]
