So apparently London has made a bid to host the World Athletics Championships in 2029. Of course they would like to use the London Stadium which is currently home to Wet Spam. If held in September, this would mean them having to play several of their games away from home. Not EXTRA away games, just 3-4 games away in a row of which they will play the return home games later in the year.
BUT NO
Wet Spam think they are too special for all that despite the fact that they don't own the stadium, they just rent it for a minimal fee. And in fact, anyone who posts here and lives in a London Borough is paying towards this stadium but that seems to matter not either
Fair play to Keeley Hodgkinson who IMO is currently our best Athletics runner at the moment putting the boot in and suggesting that 'Great Britain will win more medals at the London Stadium than the Hammers have "in their entire history"
There has been a lot of chatter over who wants which side to get relegated this season, but personally I really hope they get relegated now after reading this story - Anyway, added a couple of links for better context.
