Not our best day to put it mildly but great to see him back. And Madsen.

Never knowingly right.

Surprised he said he was ‘blowing’ after just 15mins. I understand an injury affects fitness but surely other ways to keep in shape during recovery, struggling with 15mins is a worry!

It might be more a case of not managing himself as opposed to a lack of fitness per se. Four months out, bit nervy, and busting to get on, he might have just over done it too early as opposed to him being finished. Well, hopefully.

Got three games left, so 30 minutes a game then work him during the summer so he returns for PST in tip-top shape.

Good to see him playing again, he is good for the team on the pitch and I would suggest, very influential, off the pitch as well. The likes of Vale & Morgan could & probably will not ever be able to 'lace his boots'.

I love Ilias as a player but I really think his influence on both Vale and Morgan could be vital. Vale has the potential to be the closest thing we've had to Faurlin and Morgan could become a classic number 8 for us. He is hugely liked in the changing room and could be a captain as well one day. Just because they both had poor games against Millwall doesn't mean they haven't got the potential. Morgan is 20 and Vale is 22. Plenty of time for them. Ilias is 28 so a fit Ilias is a player they will both learn from. Well, hopefully anyway.

Never knowingly right.

Having had long injuries and returning after lots and lots and lots of physio and training... It's just different in a match. You're forced to sprint when you're not ready. Your ligaments and tendons get stretching unlike anything you've done in recovery. Not to mention nervous stimulation. If you repeat a movement every day it gets easier and easier not because of muscles but because the nervous system has a trained network ready for that movement.
