Bloody hope so.
All the spin saying that the SPL would go down the sh 1tter if they went to the third was shameful.
After losing loads of their players, even being in the 1st wouldn't guarantee promotion back to the SPL.
No one seems to have taken that into account when scaremongering on the tv or radio.

yesterday i spoke to dozens of rangers fans (unsuprisingly i know)and to a man they were all prepared for this verdict.
the vast majority feel it is right and do not want to be seen to be getting favours.
i think they may even enjoy the trips to some exotic parts of Scotland.
so scottish league one and two are the only ones with any competition this season.

Most of the players at this level will be semi-pro, i.e. they will have other full(-ish)-time jobs but also be paid by the club.

I might add that the level of wages being paid at this level would be comparable to the seventh or eight level of the English pyramid, although this will of course vary according to clubs and individuals.

Queen's Park will have the second biggest attendance next season. They'll have 50,000 in watching Rangers, and the next biggest will be about 8,000.

According to one Rangers supporter – and I don't think he's exaggerating – they currently have six players, but he expects four of them to leave. I don't know if the SFL has squad timetables, but if they do, the first few weeks in D3 might not be a cakewalk. |  | | |
