That is an excellent point you make- he had a terrific knack for slowing down, teasing his full back and as soon as the unfortunate had slightly shifted his weight into the wrong position, James was off like a whippet. RIP |

Sensors on cars - no they shouldn't be so over-sensitive they auto apply my brakes at 70mph on the M1 for no reason. No they shouldn't be so loud that the reversing bong on the woman over the road wakes me up every night. If automated cars depend on this technology, gawd help us. |

Went to see a Greek Eagles tribute act the other day. They played their hit song "Hotel Kefalonia" |

Already seem to have an abundance of Centre Backs, but Bob Hazell for services to the petroleum industry. |

Is the slightly good news that it's going to cost them a fair few squid to sack him and that will count against FFP and so hamper any spending plans they may have had to strengthen ? |

The settlement was for £193m which, with 91,000 claimants, was an average of just over £2k. |

Mine was very straightforward through Slater Gordon. Felt a bit conflicted as my Passat had been trouble free but bottom line is VW shouldn't have fitted cheat devices. SG represented 90,000 owners in their class action and VW settled before it got all the way through the process. Which was nice. |

We were there last week of May - the weather can make such a difference to your experience. We travelled exclusively by rail; into Glasgow Central then out to Helensburgh (views over the Clyde, Hill House recommended). Train up to Fort William (gorgeous scenery both sides). From there took the Jacobite steam train to Mallaig (loadsa American Harry Potter geeks). South to Stirling (superb castle), then Edinburgh which was mobbed (we were there for Springsteen). The underground city walking tour was good fun. Then back to the smoke down the East Coast. McLoved it. Enjoy |

Why would you "ask them for evidence like cctv to show that it was him" ? Either you believe him, or you don't. Assuming you are, as you said, "100%" convinced that he was not there, just concentrate on providing the facts/evidence that show why this is the case. |
| Forum Reply | Unfair dismissal? at 16:37 8 Jun 2023
The other key issues here are precedent and proportionality. Has anyone else requested flexible working, were the circumstances similar and how did the employer respond ? By proportionality I mean instant dismissal for apple juice ? Really ? What does her code of conduct/contract say or is it just so obviously clear that said juice was a legitimate business expense ? |

The walk from station to ground via the canal towpath is invariably the highlight of the visit. Its an immersive experience combining industrial history of the pottery age with the brutal reality of everyday life in Northern Britain whereby anything, and I mean absolutely anything, can be dumped in a canal. Takes 30 mins and, after a lock-in, as mentioned, you won't even see the tail lights of the 1733 train. |

Seeing Bruce for about £100 at Murrayfield. The crazy prices are as a result of the Ticketmaster dynamic pricing algorithm that ignores face value and sets price based on demand. And the chuffing booking fee. Utter bar stewards |

Quite the kerfuffle with the too big Wigan goalposts ! And Cardiff's third went in off the underside of the too high crossbar, Replay the game ? |
