There is no way Cooper is 6"1. I saw him play for Sheff Wed earlier this season and it's no exaggeration to say he didn't exactly tower over Barry Bannan. He looked more like 5"9ish up close.
That said, after a nervy first 10-15 minutes he actually played pretty well and made some good saves. |

I was at Ashton Gate on Saturday to watch Bristol City v Charlton and thought I'd keep a watch on how he got on. I appreciate this is one match, against a team that (somehow) were in the playoffs last year, but his match played out as such...
20 seconds: He lost a header while coming back from an offside position, giving away a freekick
35 mins: He mis-controlled a ball into him out for a goal kick
41 mins: He tussled with Rob Atkinson and poked a pass through to a midfielder
2nd half
47 mins: He came short to receive the ball and played it out to the winger
58 mins: He was subbed off
All in all, he touched the ball a grand total of 3 times in the hour that he played. Again, it's one game so take it with a pinch of salt, but based purely on Saturday, getting £3m for him (is that how much it was reported?) could be a great deal done. |

I like it and went to buy my son his first kit...but why does it have the terrible youth team sponsor (which is far too long winded) on it?
I get it can't have Copybet on kids shirts, but why don't they just leave it blank like previous years. |

Long time lurker, first time poster...
Has anyone else listened to the aforementioned 2000s podcast?
It's part of their subscription based content (yes, I stumped up the £8 just to listen to 1 episode), but they interview Ian Taylor around the 4 Year Plan documentary.
On the whole it's worth a listen, although much of what is said is already known...doesn't speak well of Paul Hart (who does?) or Briatore, but what I found most interesting was that he actually seemed to stick up for Paladini and that the Magilton/Buzsaky incident was blown out of proportion. |
