I think managing players time on the pitch to protect those coming back from injuries and to maybe prevent injuries is a smart move.
I think making a load of substitutions at the same time is not so smart. It did disrupt our momentum at that point. A small criticism on what was otherwise a pretty good performance. |

Blackburn against Wolves last night and Pompey today both show a determination to win and retain the ball that we never seem to have. Knowing how combative this game was going to be and leaving all your ball wining midfielders on the bench is somewhat puzzling. |

Mart, that's awful news and I sincerely wish your wife and your family all the best. My own experience with a family member having a stroke is that recovery can take a long time and patience, love and support will be vital tools. She's in the right place, being looked after by the right people. Hospitals can do some great work helping people that have had strokes these days. |

I thought there was a lot of good yesterday. The distribution from Charles, Kemper, the defence as a whole. A lot of the build up play.
My gripe is the same as I've had all through the pre-season. We play well until we get to the oppos penalty box and then things often grind to a halt.
We can't always pass the ball into the back of the net. The midfielders need to start taking shots when they get to the eighteen yard line if nothing else is on. If they don't go in they create ricochets, rebounds, goalies parry the ball back into play. All chances that strikers should thrive on. |

I can't do a lin to X right now but the team is Charles, Adamson, Dunne, JCS, Kemper, Morgan, Alemayehu, Sanyaolu, Chair, Smyth and Lloyd. The bench is Warren, Akindileni, Putman, Larkeche, Ikoroha, Pearman, Scarlett and Sutton. |

Unless I'm mistaken, Factored Debt means they've borrowed against transfer fee instalments that are due to them in the future? Wow, they really are up against it with debt. How can that be good for football? I thought Financial Fair Play, Profit & Sustainability (or whatever they're called) was supposed to protect clubs from getting themselves in the sh!t like this. |

As much as I think he'll be a great addition, I'd like to know the details of this deal. How much is the loan fee (which is dead money as he's not our player) and how much of his Premier League wages are we covering? Doesn't seem to fit our model of player trading.
Having said that, I can't wait to see his passes upfield to Burrell and Kone. Maybe Varane can learn a thing or two from him? |

I supported Marti when he was here, and I support Stephan while he's here.
Both put out teams that delivered both brilliant and baffling results. I think that is as much on the clubs recruitment as it is on either of them. Neither have done enough (nor been here long enough) for me to follow their careers after they leave, unlike Venables, Francis, Holloway and Warnock.
I despair at the managerial carousel we've had, and wish we could have some stability in that position. That doesn't seem to be the modern way though. |

I have a question on the allowable equity injection.
Am I right in thinking our owners currently cough up about £2m a month to cover our losses that is converted into equity? If so, won't we breach the maximum £15m equity injection per season rule by quite a lot? |
