Missed the incident in real time myself as I was looking further up the pitch but the initial reaction from everyone around me was it was a red.
Watching the replay I think he's got the red for the studs up part (which actually doesn't seem to make any contact) but it's the way the follow through from Cirkin that goes into the Preston bloke's planted leg that does it for me.
Either way not too many complaints. |

Absolutely p!sses me off seeing things like this. We should be having days like this. It was there for the taking. I think back to an over the hill Edgar Davids with a lazy pass in midfield. Taarabt, 0-1, thank you very much. That was the year Parish came in and Palace weren't too far away from being relegated to L1. We had two bites of the cherry and fcked it up both times.
Think about how the likes of Palace, Fulham, Brentford, Brighton & Bournemouth are run. Clubs that really, aren't any bigger than us. We are so depressingly far away from that level we need to be.
Still, maybe we can aim for 14th in the Championship next season and call it progress. |

I mean Raya is being fouled by multiple West Ham players before the Rice thing happens. I thought it was a foul on the GK in real time and would have been 100% given in the Championship, but can understand why the Ref let it run with VAR |

Regarding the pitch, I’m a few rows back in Ellerslie which is not where I usually sit so I have a real good view of it and it’s so so bad. It’s practically bald in places and just looks lumpy |

The moment I heard GA's name being thrown around I knew we were in trouble. We'd spent the previous years recruiting managers and players to play a certain style and then brought in someone who was the complete antithesis of that, whose name wouldn't even been on any shortlist except for a previous association with the club. It was doomed to fail, as these things always are.
