Anyone remember the Redknapp ones when we were at Southampton away?
Singing 'one Harry Redknapp, there's only one Harry Rednapp, two Harry Redknapps' etc as each person put theirs on. He was even less popular with them than with us now so it was a quite a wind up.

We did it all the time in the 80s in London grounds. It was far safer keeping quiet and making your way out after, than offering yourself up for ambush coming out of the away end. I remember Tommy Langley celebrating in front of us in the Shed. It was hard not to smile at that.
I was also a guest of a Man Utd fan in the home end on the Dennis Bailey match. In fact that was the last time I went to Old Trafford. Seems quite fitting and I don't want to spoil that memory by going there and seeing us lose now!

Good point. Identical points and GD too so maybe they can get beaten in their two games by more than us. Certainly not impossible and should they lose Saturday they could well be in the mix on the last day.

So you also mean Blackburn and Plymouth winning?

Not impossible and this is QPR but that would be pretty unlucky. There is a reasonable chance it will go to the last Saturday though which is often a lottery.

If Huddersfield beat Brum then Brum cannot catch us. Huddersfield can only then catch us by overturning a large GD. WBA beating Sheff Wed would mean the same for Sheff Wed who have an even worse GD.
Either of those make us safe barring an almighty GD swing.

Loftus Road journey

Haha you never know mate.

We did see a sizeable increase in the people standing around us as Alan Mullerys record and performance got worse and worse as manager. It was a great place to abuse the dugout from.
One incident that still makes me laugh when I think about it was my mate shouted to Ian Rush 'Oi Rush you big nosed See you next..' He just looked at us and shook his head

Great thread.
70s to early 80s Loft end towards the right of the goal near the front as you look at the pitch.
Then we all moved to the paddocks late 80s just to the right of the dugout. My little South London group then started dissipating. This didn't bother me to start with as I could just still stand with all the other blokes we had met and got to know over the year. But becoming all seater made me billy no mates. Then worked abroad for a few years and started a family so had a break.
Inducted my two young lads and we went in X block as we built up to the Warnock glory season. Stayed there a few years then moved to my current seat in R Block. I love it there and have made many friends there.

Edit - forgot to add that we had a few seasons in the SAR courtesy of Ian Dawes who was a friend at the time and let us use his complimentaries. I also had a night in upper School End with my Man United supporting mate when we turned them over. Was not celebrating that one!

Used to love going in Beanos in Croydon. It was the largest second hand record store in Europe at the time. Sadly the owner closed it down and sold all his stock I believe.
