A lot has been said about BJ, but one thing which shines out like a beacon, especially now, is that everyone knew exactly where they should be, exactly what was expected of them and if they wouldn't or couldn't they would be replaced. If a player advanced, another would drop back to cover. It wasn't always 'attractive' but it was almost always effective. Never more so than now, when we seem to have the opposite of the above, and I'll be charitable here and caveat that with 'for large spells of the game'. I don't have a dog in this fight by any means, but players at SS (Jenkins in particular) praised IW for his support and coaching, which developed player's ability. I was told.
That, of course, can be more difficult as you go up the pyramid and 'stars' think they are already good. We have a lot of loanees who may already think this. Callum Perry was the exact opposite. Probably no 'one size fits all' answer to lots of problems but he needs answers fast for everyone's sakes. |

Absolutely. And although we got a result at Tranmere the performance was OK at best but Tranmere squandered a lot of chances that day with awful finishing - including their pens. Shrewsbury was also a statistical outlier for me as they didn't do their homework on the 'aggressive press and bomb the box' approach - Dale's kryptonite. I expect Latics won't make the same mistake. I'll be back for that one but I expect it will get ugly in every respect, but hope I'm wrong in every respect.
Will try to stream the forum when it's up. I hope and expect fans to question but maintain respect and stay classy |

Quite by chance, there is a staunch SS fan of many years staying at the same place as us and saw my Dale towel which started a good chat.
The main takes were:
Jenkins should have been a really good addition for us this year and they are all hoping he goes on to great things.
He always had a plan B and C at SS if things weren't working
He made timely, and on occasions game changing/winning subs.
This is not a post defending him, nor is it suggesting he hasn't made mistakes, but some of the criticism he has received about his abilities are only unique to his time with us. Fwiw I am still in the undecided camp but can see 'the snowball gaining downhill momentum'. Soon it will be too late to stop it. 🤞we get some more points before then. [Post edited 9 Sep 6:49]

Staying over in Watford also - looking on line and it seems Watford Met to Wembley Park is similar price to Watford Junction to Wembley Central. Both >£10. How did you get that £2.40 fare Watforddale? Thx

Only reporting what was passed on to me from an impeccable source. It's possible the 'sources' were on a wind up to my mate. The proof of the pudding will be in the eating. Hope it can be filed under the same BS as a lot of the York no marks spew on social media. |

Has the speed at which it sold out been questioned at all i wonder? This from a mate who know several fans of our opponents
'I understand from my York based contacts that they have purchased a substantial amount of tickets in the home end for the last match of the season. Might need your tin hat on'.
I hope we have stewarding and policing commensurate with the worst case scenario. The last thing we want or need is another black day in our history associated with a big tie and possible decider. Our 'vetting' appears to not have been as thorough as it might have been? |

Read on Twitter they bricked a 'Pools minibus carrying adults and kids after the game. Not my definition of decent KB. A lot (not all) come across as supremely entitled and cocky on the socials too. Prolly a vocal minority as is often the case in life |
