Maguire has continued to please and impress MK Dons head coach Paul Warne, who said the ex-Chesterfield man is one of the most professional players in his squad.
“He’s been a good player for us and never let us down, unfortunately he’s had injuries which have kept him out and others have picked up the cudgel.
He’s one of the top three pros I’ve got,” Warne said of Maguire.
“If I needed to put him in on a Saturday, I’d have no problems picking him. He’s been good, he’s in really good nick, and I know if he’s needed he’d be great for us.” |

Makes way for another striker.
Would love to see us take a punt on Danny Ormerod 20 years of age, 31 goals with Fylde last season, scored two against us the season before. Could prove a great partner for Mani and if he proves a success could even be a potential money spinner for us in the future. |

I hope we are taking an interest in Danny Ormerod at Fylde. Had a tremendous season last time and Watson will know him well from the title battle South Shields and Fylde had then. |

Challinor would walk into any job at this level or below. He has a proven track record at every level upto and arguably including league 1.
In any other situation you would look upon him as a rock solid option for Dale. A lot will depend on if he is interested and whether the Board feels he fits their future vision for the Club. As in all cases it then depends how far they are prepared to go salary wise to get him.
Having said that, it was implied that as a contingency for Jim's leaving they had already drawn up a potential list of candidates. I doubt Challinor would have been on that list at that time but who knows. |

It shows how the Club has moved on.
No longer going cap in hand seeking applications from all and sundry in the hope we get a suitable candidate. This time we have taken the initiative and are 'head hunting' identifying those candidates we want and who fit the philosophys and ambitions the Ogdens have for this Club.
The future is in safe hands and I can't wait to see the direction it takes us. UTD. |

Like many of us I wish Jim well knowing what he has achieved both with us and for us. I sincerely hope it works out for him and hope against hope that he has not inherited a 'poisend chalice'.
As far as the Dale are concerned its now upto the Ogdens to ensure we get the best leader to take us on to the next chapter of our adventure together. I every confidence they will.

Jim will be going nowhere. The board will offer him everything he wants to remain part of the project. The season ahead is phase two and Jim is committed. Stockport feel that Challinor had hit the ceiling following promotions through the Divisions from National League upwards. Why would they want to take another manager in the same mold as Challinor, they will be looking higher. As far as Salford are concerned too much interference and involvement from their benefactors would surely be off putting to someone like JM who has been left to manage the football side of the Club with minimal interference and support from the Ogdens when he has needed it. |

Anyone who has watched the National League season unfold and taken the time to view other team performances know that BW are very good team which play an exciting brand of football. We have done well to turn them over twice when they were at there most vulnerable. This has the potential to be a brilliant final if we both turn up at our best and make no mistake this by no means a pushover. Fingers crossed we come out on top. UTD. |

The depressing part of this is how easily we are being contained. This does not look good for the playoffs we look devoid of ideas energy and dare I say it belief. It's all gone wrong. It's just so Rochdale so disappointing. |

Like it or not and yet so desperately wanting to see us return to the football league this season, I am afraid that I have to allow a personal reality to kick in. Watching the last 15 minutes of our game at Hartlepool and the last 15 minutes of Yorks game today have left me in no doubt which team will go on and become Champions. The contrasting approach in the two games was there for all to see. The way we played has been sussed and used against us in all our matches recently. We are no longer a team to be feared we do not put teams to the sword in the same way York do. The opposition are happy to let us play around at the back and build our attacks slowly using up countless minutes of game time. York by contrast attack often and quickly and sustain that pressure throughout. Their style gradually puts fear and desperation into the opposition whereby ours makes them feel they are still in the game and have a chance. Unfortunately, although we have picked up so many points playing this way this season it is not a style that is suited to the sudden death nature of playoff football. Whether it be a one off game with York or a playoff match at home I fear we have not got what it takes mentally or physically to win those types of game. We are deservedly guaranteed a home playoff place so time will tell. I hope so much that I am wrong and that the management, players and supporters get a reward for the magnificent season they have had. It would be so sad to end in disappointment for the second season running. |

We are all over the place again. Playing without confidence. Too many players way off it. Losing out in the tackle, poor control with the ball. Rodney a waste of space at the moment but sadly so are number of others. A big half coming up what can Jim do to change this ? |

As you say Sutton deserve a lot of praise for their approach and the effort they put in to contain us. As often happens we are so wrapped up in our own performance we sometes fail to see what the opposition have achieved. The energy they needed to maintain the level of press they applied for most if the game was exceptional. However it must have taken its toll in the later stages and coupled with our determination to press forward and not give up led to a win that will live long in the memory. |

We were poor, facing a team who ran their socks off by pressing us all over the pitch for 80 minutes and who deserve full credit for beating us at our own game. However, for Dale to go on to win when struggling for so long reflects the players spirit and will to never give up and also deserves our utmost respect. Dare I say it's that type of spirit that makes Champions. It's the will power that can see us through what has been a difficult spell. The dream is still alive !! |
