Never have I ever taken less joy from a victory. After a good night’s sleep, I woke up realising we’d just won another game of football — but what a grind that second half was! We made hard work of it, even though it easily could’ve ended 3 or 4–nil.
The squad depth is really starting to show now, and I no longer fear rotating the team. Apart from the need for a bit more fullback cover, we’re blessed with some talented attacking options.
Shoutout to Sam Field — stepped up when called upon at left-back. He’s got his limitations, especially noticeable now that our midfield is so strong on the ball, but effort was 10/10 and he made some crucial blocks.
Dunne looks a bit tired towards the end of games, Is Adamson anywhere near the first team?
Would be happy with three at the back. Crowd the midfield and get Saito and Smyth to help defensively which they are both good at. Another really strong bench, nice to see Chair back.
I’m feeling positive. In the past, this had a draw or narrow 0–1 home loss written all over it. But with today’s squad, I see match winners. I’ve got a feeling Dembele might get a start tonight and put in a MOTM performance—bagging an assist and goal.
Credit to JS his tactics/subs are working well. Was a bit surprised at the Varane change, thought he was playing really well. Everyone’s fitness levels look much better. My only criticism is not making a sub during extra time to run the clock down as Stoke were starting to build momentum going forward.
This will be my sons first QPR game — he’s four in December. All I’m asking for is a QPR win and that he doesn’t ask to go home before halftime!
Let the good times continue 3-1 for the third game in a row, Vale to get his rewards with a opening goal, Kone and Morrison with the others. U Rrrrrrrr's!
I see on instagram they mention Chair sustaining an injury in training hence his absence but no mention of Celar, hoped he’d come good but I’d say from this he’s definitely on the move. Free up some wages and potentially some more recruits incoming.
Genuinely chuffed for him and now for us, £60m plus £7.5m in add-ons, don't think we will ever be told exactly how much we get from the deal, realistically don't expect it to be more than 6/7 mil. But thats still great business and will enable a few signings.
Apparently Arsenal are still in the running after the news Havertz is out for a while. Personally would rather he goes there than Spurs. Bidding war…..
So we sell league one's top goal scorer aged 23 for 3.5 mil raising to 5m (if reports are true) and then sign joint third top goal scorer aged 22 for a reported 2.75mil + add ons. Its not bad business if true. Time will tell.
Great to see so many youngsters involved in the first team training.Spotted 16 year old striker Ashley Trujillo 1:07 , would love to know what the clubs plan is for him. Is he too young for a loan?
