Ok so who’s good with travel planning??
Looking quickly the closest airport is Linz… which is still a good hour away.
Anyone else found anything easier or cheaper?

Players arriving at Loftus Road
at 23:06 20 Jan 2023

Hi,
Does anyone know what time QPR players usually arrive at Loftus Road?
I’m taking my son to his 2nd ever game tomorrow and he wants to collect an autograph or two!
Just wondering how early would it be best to hover round the entrance to try and see them come in…

Worst ever player
at 18:51 5 Aug 2022

Warren Barton away to Port Vale on a Tuesday night was up there with one of the worst performances ive ever seen at any football match!

I always have visions of Steve Morrow trying to head the ball back to the keeper during one home game and falling flat on his face while the attacker ran away and scored :-(

Sorry.. But Taarabt vs caglari
at 22:11 18 Oct 2017

I’ll tell you why.......

Taarabt to a lot of fans is what Bowles or Marsh was to a lot of our older generation of fans.

He is without doubt the most skilful and talented player IVE seen play for QPR is all my time in supporting them. For me the team that had the likes of Rowlands , Gallen, Cook, Furlong etc was my favourite ‘team’.
But I can’t see another Adel appearing for a long time.

Remember the goals against Swansea where he nut meg a player then curled into the bottom corner. He was unstoppable that season and could have taken on the prem had he really applied himself. But Warnock going and Redknapp coming in ruined all that.

Word from Belfast is that this is a done deal and he is flying over this weekend.
He's also expecting to be challenging for 1st team positions rather than U23 development side.

We have been scouting him since last season. Rated as one of the best players in the league.
However we're not the only club after him........

Been getting rave reviews at Linfield

Random Loftus Road memories
at 22:01 3 Feb 2017

Steve Morrow going for a header back to the keeper, missing it, falling to the floor and then injuring himself? (does anyone else remember this?)
Leeds at home
The cross bar rocking for ages after Mike Sheron hit it playing for stoke - I remember thinking he would be good for us
Mike Sheron going off injured in a game after about 10secs! He was useless!
Trev's goal
Oldham playoff
Palace 6-0
Players like Tony Scully, Doudou, Wardley, Bankole etc How did they make a living....

Lets try and take some positives from the possible Tim Sherwood appointment......

Tim will know that IF he gets appointed that he will have to do a good job in order for his reputation (of what he has of it) to stand in good stead. If he does rubbish with us that will most likely be his last managerial position.
When he was at Tottenham he was very highly respected with his work behind the scenes.
I didn't think he did too bad when he was temp manager of Spurs and actually got an overpaid paid player who couldn't get in the team in Adebayor, scoring again.
At Villa he did alright for the initial period and then had a bad start in his full season with them, but I think he would have done a lot better than what Remi Garde did (not saying he would have kept them up, but they were dross under Garde).
Yes he salutes his players when they score, yes he wears a gullet.......
But he is a motivator, he takes every loss personally and doesn't stand for shite excuses.
If your looking for passion back into the team, he will bring that. He will be honest during interviews and will kick every ball on the touchline with the players.

What you would be hoping is that they can bring in an experienced #2 in with him rather than promoting Ramsey again.

John Bostock incoming
at 21:06 31 May 2016

JFH was credited with reviving John Bostock's career when he was at
A manager of a club in Belguim (standard liege?).

I remember seeing a doc on BBC or the football league programme about it.
Apparently was in the 2nd div of Belguim at the time, but was tearing it up.

As other posts say, seems to have turned it around a bit and getting good reviews.
It would be another player JFH knows well

Washington has changed the way NI play.
His goal was down to a goalkeeper error but he still had to put it away!

That's 2 in 3 apps for N.I

How he doesn't get a proper run for us I'll never know.

Where are they now?

Nicked from Wiki.........

Jan Stejskal (born 15 January 1962) is a retired Czech football goalkeeper. He played for Czechoslovakia and later the Czech Republic, for both he played a total of 31 matches, participating in the 1990 FIFA World Cup.

In his native country he played for Sparta Prague and Slavia Prague. He also had a successful spell at Queens Park Rangers from 1990 to 1994. He was one of only 13 foreign players to play on the opening weekend of the FA Premier League along with Peter Schmeichel, Andrei Kanchelskis, Robert Warzycha, Roland Nilsson, Eric Cantona, Hans Segers, John Faxe Jensen, Anders Limpar, Gunnar Halle, Craig Forrest, Michel Vonk and Ronnie Rosenthal.

Stejskal was a very tall commanding goalkeeper with a sound trade, but his language problem let him down from time to time. His QPR days were marred by this but he will still go down in history as one of the best keepers QPR ever had.

After ending his career, he worked as a goalkeeping coach for both Sparta Prague and the Czech Republic national football team. He ended this in 2008 as his commitment to Sparta proved too great.

Stejskal is also a qualified mechanic, a trade learned whilst serving on national duty for the former Czechoslovakia.

Would we class him as one of our best ever keepers??

Washington??
at 20:33 20 Apr 2016

There clearly is a player within Conor Washington....

He was doing it for Peterboro and if anyone saw him play in his 2nd cap for Northern Ireland he was far and away the best player on the pitch.
His movement, shooting and then his finish proved that he had the confidence.
N.I were only playing one up top..... and it wasn't him.
Conor started on the left but had licence to swap in and out of position with Jamie Ward.
Caused the opposition no end of problems that night and could have had a hattrick were it not for the keeper.

I havent seen too much of him in QPR colours yet, but it seems like they are playing him up top, on his own with no support.
Play him as an attacking 3 behind Polter and I think we will see the best of him.
I really hope we don't just discard him and give him a decent chance going into next season.
I would start playing him against the lesser teams..... Not Brighton away! To get his confidence up a little

New Stadium needed to survive
at 10:40 8 Mar 2016

I don't get it?

To everyone who is saying, "if they move ground i won't go again". I honestly don't get it?

LR has always been a great little ground, but how many of you lose layers of skin on your shins on the seat in front of you?
Or everytime someone wants to get past you in the row, it's like a level on the Crystal Maze for it to happen? Queing up for 45mins to get a half time pie?

LR can't be improved anymore than it is, so we HAVE to move. It's as simple as that.

And i'm certain that when that day does come, the ones saying that they won't be there, or they will never go..... will be there.

Anyone who has posted or has sent abuse to Konchesky over his Son wearing a Chelsea kit needs to take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror.

Do they expect every player we sign to be a die-hard QPR fan??? FFS!

Some of the stuff that has been written is just wrong.

Idiots the lot of them!

Belfasssssst - things to do advice
at 18:32 3 Mar 2016

Hey,

first of all it always rains over here so be prepared!

If your going out for drinks Head to the Cathedral Quarter, its about a 10min walk across the river from where you are or a £4 taxi ride! It's the place to be in Belfast at the moment and has some lovely pubs.
The Dirty Onion, The John Hewitt, Duke of York, The Harp Bar.

If you have time and a car the North Coast is a lovely part of the Country.

The Titanic Experience is alright, but it's a do it once and say you've done it type of thing.

There are some top restaurants in the City ( it's called a city but everything is a 10min walk away), just depends on your tastes.

If you want to treat the Mrs to a nice Cocktail, then The Merchant Hotel cocktail bar, Muriel's, The Perch are the places to visit!

Any other Q's I'll be more than happy to answer.
