I'm more keen on Varane than most I think and I agree with this. 5-6m is still good money, especially with a little sell-on to cover our bases in case he really kicks on. |

I think he's a decent player for us with good potential. Seems a bit low on confidence lately and so is too timid with his passing, but also does hard defensive work. £6m is a good price though. If they want to do this whole 'loan with an obligation to buy' thing at £5.2m, they can whack on an £800k loan fee and round it up nicely. Maybe a 5% sell-on to cover our bases a little? |

Yeah I feel this too. I reckon he's not at his best (definitely too slow to make a pass) but the potential is there and he does a decent defensive job in midfield. If the £5.2m is up front then I think it makes financial sense |

It'd be an obligation to buy, so no chance to turn around and say no... |

Did a quick google to have a look and two things popped up: A) Bids in the summer seemed to be around the £5m mark, so this bid isn't that different, at least according to FLW, The72 etc. B) Same article suggested we paid 875k for him, where Transfermarkt has it around €1.5m... |

The Shakespeare. I posted in a couple of local Facebook groups but couldn't find any R's fans and while I was an LFW reader I wasn't yet on the message board. If I ever make it back (hopefully) I'll see if I can talk them into showing the games again |

£4.5m is a lot for a player in a position that's was less of a priority (though I guess Morrison and JCS are out), but I have to say I'm pretty chuffed. Having Edwards next to Dunne feels like a serious back line. |

I imagine Kolli will be the starter but they'll be managing his fitness (like they completely failed to do with Burrell). Stephan said he was talking about subbing him off at the end of the Wednesday game because they were worried they'd injure him |

I'm in Amsterdam, used to be in Montpellier. While in Montpellier I used to work in an English pub there which I commandeered to put on our games (roped in a few of the punters as honorary fans) which was always a laugh. Watching us batter Leeds there was a particular highlight. Unfortunately haven't been able to make it back for games - I don't have a lot of money or time off which makes it difficult, and I only tend to get back to visit family around Xmas time. Tried to extend the trip this year to go to the Leicester game but couldn't make it work which was devastating as my brother went and enjoyed every second... [Post edited 8 Jan 8:55]

Discovery+ isn't even available in the country I'm in, so not sure quite what I'll be doing... I assume sailing the high seas like Black Bart himself |

While I agree, I think it's also just the collective coping mechanism of tens of thousands of us schmucks who put up with this nonsense every week. If I got steaming mad after every sh*t QPR performance, I would need sedatives to function day-to-day. It's just easier to joke about it sometimes. |

Normally agree. Actually a Nardi fan as things go... but this one was at a height he should've got to. Instead it's straight across goal |
