Just checked if it was the one where we lost 0-1 to a John Duncan goal and it was. I went to that with two Rangers and one Spurs mate from school.
They were all over the loft so I had my Rangers scarf tucked away in my Parka pocket. At HT the bstrds were looking for Rangers and they “searched” my mate, pulled out his Nice One Cyril scarf and assumed we were all Tottenham.
Fcking bullies were at least 18 and we were just 11 year olds.
So, Yes. Happy memories of that day 50 years ago 😂 |

Another vote for Black Rabbit. I watched the last 4 episodes in one go last night while the Mrs was out.
Not quite telly, but I bought the Brian Pern dvd in the week. (Simon Day playing a Prog-rocker - Peter Gabriel in all but name).
Of all people, Suranne Jones is just brilliant in it, as is the very under-rated Michael Kitchen as his Manager. [Post edited 8 Nov 18:45]

Another vote for Arrested Development, which I keep going back to. David Cross’ character, Tobias, is just so, so funny. The business cards/number plate that “almost got you arrested” joke really had me in stiches. |

Feel sorry for the kid, really, he really is disliked down there. He should have stayed here and gone out on loan, but he’s not a Champ striker in a million years, so we got a right touch when they paid us what they did for him.
I had a nose on OTIB this morning - mostly to get their take on the game but I looked at the Armstrong thread and they said “he’s so bad that QPR fans were taking the P1ss” when he came on.
Were we? Or was it a genuine Hello to him, as he was a popular figure, for all his faults. |

I love Golf, pretty much obsessed with it now I’ve retired, tbh, but I can’t watch the Ryder Cup when it’s in America. Is there anything in sport sadder than American golf fans?
Anyway, given that Europe are snotting them so easily - as per the last time, perhaps it’s time for making it Europe v The Rest of the World.
Then it wouldn’t have to be in the States every other year, they could hold it in South Africa, Aussie and NZ.
