David McIntyre update on the Old Oak development.
at 16:01 4 Sep 2014

Re. Warren Farm, I thought a new training ground was a requirement for our Youth Academy to be upgraded from "Category 2" to "Category 1" (playing Vs the big boys like Utd/Liverpool/City etc).

Have the club detailed their plans for securing this upgrade without it yet?
It really is essential.

Malkay Mackay NOT Palace manager

Hoddle's a total no go, didn't he give an interview saying he's not interested? He's got too many commitments atm to be a manager

Who're the excellent existing players? Crocked Faurlin, flaky traore, or old Hill/Dunne?

"(or better still imo, Rio and Stephen Caulker) ". You want to ditch our best CB for Rio? Is this a joke? No wonder players are such mercenaries when fans have zero loyalty.

Rio - Not WC

Given the context (think 12/13 season), this would be the worst signing in the history of the club.

That may sound hyperbolic, but I'm struggling to think of a more symbolically appalling one than this. Previously poor signing have just performed poorly on the field, but this one reflects an entire club ethos that most of us hoped was in the past.

Do you have a bucket of water on the doorstep when you get home? Otherwise you'll walk shite into the house on the way to the shower.

Do you just avoid walking at night, when you won't be able to see the pavement? (particularly away from the city).

What about when you've got to walk really fast/run to get somewhere? That's some serious impact on the feet, you're more likely to snag a toe/bump into something, and you don't want to be surveying a pavement when you're busting a gut to get a train.

How do you kick a can along the pavement?

Even if you don't mind having wet skin on your feet, having tatty dirty bottoms of your jeans stuck to your legs isn't going to be comfortable for anyone.

Unless you sweat excessively, fresh socks keep the insides of shoes clean enough.

The purpose of shoes is to remove the necessity for the extra consideration you put into walking around. Why use a camp fire when we've invented the oven? Makes life easier.

Fakes in financial trouble?

I keep a close track of Reading, and everything's going a bit tits up there. Potential new Omanian investors- but until those guys move in, it's unlikely they'll be able to do a lot of business in January (other than selling). I think they'd keep Sharp if they could, but there simply aren't the funds whilst Zingarevic is AWOL- and Billy himself badly wants his situation resolved, so may well have already been snapped up by the time any investment comes in.

It was more fun seeing a group of mercenaries piss on the club's heritage, and lose every week? I'll have some of what you're smoking.

At least they're giving it a go this season.

To those who're dissatisfied with the proposed plans, I'd ask you- what the alternative? Because it's not staying at Loftus Road. This is as good as any suggested New Stadium would've been. A few years back we faced oblivion, instead we've ended up with very wealthy owners and the potential to see top tier football. I know which I prefer.

Spot on Weaver.
I think they use their own guys for games they can't get radio comms for, and it didn't use to be such common practice a couple of seasons ago.

The occasional EDS/u18s game on Ustream weirdly gets better commentary than is provided for the senior team.

Abysmal QPR Player "commentary"
at 19:13 19 Oct 2013

It's one thing showing all the "exclusive" QPRPlayer content on London Call In every thursday, another fobbing subscribers off with 94.9 by way of commentary every matchday.

I'm sure i heard more about Brentford and Lleyton Orient today than i did QPR. Not only that, it's free for anyone with an internet connection to listen to anyway. Today i PAID to hear Watford equalise V Derby (what a mug).

The constant cutting away from the game means pitiful value for money, and a swift unsubscribe will follow unless they provide a dedicated uninterrupted QPR commentary sharpish.

What a ridiculously unnecessarily vitriolic thread. Is this about SWP?
He's put in a massive shift this season and played pretty well.
We've produced some champagne football at times today- but some 'fans' are more interested in publicising their small minded jaundiced views.

I hope for your sake you've had a couple.

Haven't you previously said it's crucial for us to go up quickly, clive? Teams dropping into the championship in the future will have even juicier parachute payments.

Maybe this season isn't the one for us to intentionally take the hard option, as a means of 'teaching the club a lesson' or whatever.

Strikers are being snaffled up quickly- better to take a reasonable one now than be left with the absolute dregs if Austin gets injured in a month.
