Absolutely sensational player. That season he was just unplayable. Was a pleasure to see him in the blue and white hoops.

Awful team selection

And watching Arsenal play. Raya, Califori, Gabriel, Rice, Odegaard, Saka, Tzolis, Havertz etc all seem capable of playing on a weekend and then midweek.

Awful team selection
at 07:24 6 Sep 2026

I was definitely slightly bemused by his team selection. It’s strange how certain players get rotated, but then others like Dunne and Edwards never do. It’s like they’re treated differently. Kone hasn’t looked fit all season. He has this slightly strange running style so something must be up. How is Kolli going to get match fit if he’s not being given a chance? Obikwu was on the bench in the week and then disappears for yesterday’s game? I thought Boro were ok, but nothing special. They were there for the taking had we played a stronger side. Smyth seems for example to be more effective away from home so maybe he should have started at Charlton? Poku is becoming a concern. Seems to do what Madueke at Arsenal does. He gets to in line with the 18 yard box and cuts back for a safe pass or puts a rather weak cross in. He needs to do what Saka does and get behind the left full back and get to the byline. His assist numbers are poor. He needs to be braver on the ball. Losing yesterday puts big pressure now on Charlton where our record in recent times is not great. Another big following as well!

He’s been brilliant so far. Only slightly worrying rumour that I’ve heard is that he has only signed a one year deal. Anyone else heard this? Does seem very odd he gets bought last summer by Fiorentina in Serie A for 6 million. Then the next summer he gets released for free and he ends up down The Bush.

New pre match song
at 20:56 3 Sep 2026

You could have some great ones from The Clash, The Cure or The Libertines.

Time for Heroes? Libertines
Don’t Look Back into the Sun? Libertines

Friday I’m in Love. The Cure
Just like Heaveb. The Cure

London Calling. The Clash

Most importantly they’re all connected to the Rangers as they support our club!

Who from Bastille supports Rangers? Didn’t know they were Rangers. I know one of them is Plymouth.

New pre match song
at 16:05 3 Sep 2026

It’s very odd Fulham play it as Mick Jones is very much QPR. There’s nothing Fulham to that Clash song. Suppose they just like the line ‘I live by the river’. But I don’t want us becoming like Arsenal with their horrendous North London Forever whatever the weather song. They have the cringiest set of fans in the land.

The song was absolutely dreadful. Fans were going mental about it in The Loft. It’s like something someone has done for a Music project for GCSE. We have such a long history of musical greats connected to our club. Should have been a consultation with fans on this one. I hope fans complain to the club at supporterservices@qpr.co.uk

Will be a riot I reckon if they play that rubbish against Boro.

It’s highly frustrating now that Chair is back he’s back on corners. Madsen is so much better from corners.

Remember Paul Bruce scoring free kicks at Wolves and Bury. Remember a good one for Mark Kennedy. Akos scored a few for us. Remember Ian Barraclough scoring one down the Loft one year when Pacquette had scored. In more recent years, Chair has scored a couple including one up at Sunnyland. It’s hard trying to remember the others. Feel like the Nigerian left back whose name I forget got one against Sunnyland as well.

I was there with loads of QPR for the Euros when we played Switzerland. A great city. So many bars in the old town and along the river. Basically do a bar crawl along the river from town to the ground. The ground is a good 45 mins walk from the town, but just stop along the way. It’s a great ground. Felt quite English. You’ll love it. Another great city for football in Germany. Enjoy!

Let’s hope he’s ok. He was a fantastic player for us. Scored some fantastic goals for us. That goal at Palace was so important in staying up. We went up the following season.

He’s injured. Wouldn’t be a Rangers signing without getting an injury. Annoying as he was good when he came on at Pompey.

R's Taking the Michael of Bolton, QPR vs Bolton Wanderers Match Thread
at 18:38 22 Aug 2026

Very frustrating today. We need to take our chances. Bolton looked dreadful in my opinion. Not sure our keeper made a save today. Bolton keeper kept them it. We had a nailed on pen towards the end when Chair was brought down. Would have been a red as well which the ref bottled. Need to get more bodies in the box when the ball is out wide. Thought Edwards was class. Reminds me of when Rice was moved from centre back to midfield. Just seems so comfortable there. Poku was very frustrating. Kone huffed and puffed. Needs to be more clinical if he wants to play a higher level. Hopefully Cirkin can now be our left back.

I remember when we had a night game at Maine Road and we won 3-1 with the mighty Mikkel Beck getting 2 and Wardley getting the other. Right next to the Kippax. That was a temporary stand. No more than 500 tops there. We had all sorts being chucked at us as we came out. Really enjoyed our trips to Maine Road. Always nice and friendly around Moss Side! Massive win that in the context of the season. Can also remember temporary stands at Gillingham (still there) and at Blackpool.

Yes, I played there on a Friday night for years. Sir Les was often back to give out the trophies etc. We had a great time there. Have no idea what it looks like in there now. Played there many times with Ben Walshe. Always lots of Rangers fans about at the club. Great times.

Summer transfer rumours 2026
at 07:53 20 Aug 2026

Never been convinced that Morgan will get us to the next level. He’s a tidy player, but I think League 1 is his level. Kolli is an interesting one. Very inconsistent. He’s a match winner for sure. Think the likes of Burrell and Kone work harder and do more for the team. Maybe Obikwu is closer to the first team? Kolli is always being linked with moves. Maybe he needs a fresh start? Sounds like Larkeche needs a new start as well. Hopefully Kemper injury isn’t too bad.

He definitely played local football for sure. Pretty sure from memory he played for Harrow Club where Sir Les used to play. Sir Les and Ben Walshe all played for Harrow Club who went on to play for us.

Dwindling Attendences at Chelsea
at 08:46 16 Aug 2026

Yes, loads of pubs round that way that have closed over the years. Mick who ran the Halfway House, then took over The Seven Stars with his wife Janet. They’re over Shepherd’s Bush way now and see them every now and again when we’re at home. Halfway House closed years ago. Is now a Co-Op. The Clarence has been threatening to close for years. The Oak is gone. The Atlas is still there. Always known as the Wee House, but it’s so dear in there. The Goose is still going. The Norman became the Rylston and is now the Elephant and Barrel. The Clem Atlee is gone. The Bedford is a decent pub with locals from round the manor. The Captain Cook was The Wilton back in the day. That was a pub! Few pubs still hanging on. New Spoons by Fulham Broadway which isn’t too bad for a Spoons. In the old tube station. You say it’s a Chelsea area, which to be honest it isn’t really. Yes, they all come in on match days, but normally it’s a mix of everything to be honest. All the Chelsea lot come up from places like Kent and Surrey!

Was a good pub back in the day when Pat was the Guvnor. Remember the bookies over the road. Owner was the same one that had The Clarence down the road. But it’s become another gastro pub like most of them in the area.
