Seconded re Ludwig, a third series has been commissioned and starts filming this month.
New ITV drama The Blame is supposed to be good, starts 20th September.
Also looking forward to the second series of Nick's pick, This City is Ours on the Beeb, 8 Eps, coming this autumn. |

I can’t count up to ten in French anymore. 1 to 7, absolutely fine but when I get to 8 my throat constricts, I start coughing and my eyes get red and swollen and start to water. Turns out I’ve developed a bad huit allergy…. [Post edited 16 Sep 19:49]

Your observations are spot on. Everyone knew as you rightly say. I’d go as far as to say England were hated by FIFA and UEFA at the time, it was only 12 months after Heysel so English teams were 1 year into a 5 year ban from European football at club level. The stigma surrounding English football fans affected the England team too IMO so what Maradona got away with was no surprise as a result. I reckon if that handball had been against Brazil or one of the other top European teams the goal would not have stood. |

The vicar of St Mary’s Church in Southampton was so annoyed that he sent Hitler the co-ordinates of the road in Watford where SMC’s Vicarage was located but the German Bomber Command’s grasp of English wasn’t great so they launched a bombing raid on Watford FC’s Vicarage Road instead. By a stroke of luck the bombing raid was disallowed by VAR (Video Assistant Radar) as the lead bomber was offside as it entered into enemy airspace. The Germans complained as it was only by the protruding cap on the front of the lead bomber’s nose mounted propellor but the decision was upheld and Vicarahe Road was saved. |

Agreed, a decent fee and I echo the sentiments expressed above, good luck to the lad, I am sure he will not let Fulham down.
Fee is £26m base plus £4m add-ons and don’t forget City had a 15% sell-on clause. All said and done, enough left in the pot to find a replacement and get a decent forward in (not Jebbison!). If Celtic can get Kasper Hogh in from Bodo/Glimt for £11m there must be one out there like that for us… |

Spot on re the new third kit, I agree it is superb. I reckon it will outsell the 2nd kit many times over. Would not be surprised to see the initial allocation sell out quite quickly. |

Just seen it online, that has got to be THE worst ever Saints kit, and at times, it not a high bar…
Looks like a diesel spill in the Solent. Not even people with no taste and bad dress sense would want to be seen in that abomination surely?
