You are right the Manning mistake was bad, but he could and should have made amends by running back and putting in a saving tackle. He has cost us other goals this season and Charlie Taylor would be an easy upgrade.
Quarshie also not up to this level, that is also becoming clear and Wood also not bright I agree. Despite all his faults Cpn Jack with THB looking our best option at CB. With Jellert or Bree at RB allowing Fellows to play where he can hurt the opposition. |

You are probably right about a commanding experienced CB to play alongside THB and this would help any goalkeeper, but I still worry that Bazunu is too short - a taller goalie would have easily tipped the Brum goal over the bar, a GK with longer reach could have got to the Oxford winner, he's clearly a good lad but lacking height and reach - not his fault.
I think we will only get a tall centre forward and have to muddle through defensively, but we can always hope. |

Archer scored, jellert put a good cross in, but young Bragg was the architect, collecting the ball, taking his time to spot the killer slide rule pass.
Bragg was also there at our flag ship demolition of Charlton. Seems a much better option than the disinterested Aribo and glorious hasbeen OR.
If there is one thing this team needs it is that incisive pass, he shouldn't get too big for his boots, but he delivered that tonight! |

Tonda is a way better proposition than the uninspiring Will Still who was taking us down probably. But Tonda needs an experienced assistant, target man and decent goalie and the fans need to show some patience.
After the chastening season last year and the Russball habits that seem hard to shake off, the players appear to be quickly demoralised and soon resort to sideway passing as their default. This is a BIG job! |

The WAC comment yesterday was shocking aimed at someone who has given us Saints fans renewed hope and got the team showing passion and brought the fun back. Added to that Tonda is a young guy with a great attitude, clearly a lovely fella, what is not to like?
