With a few other faces in the Chapel tomorrow, I think we’re going to go through a few of them. |

Great to see. The Echo had hitherto been the club’s friendly mouthpiece. The players, manager, and board need challenging. If anything our friend in the Echo is too mild. |

The Cedric one is probably one of our best tbf. Berkovic one is suspect however. Was used in the 70s for Osgood and ironically stolen by Saints on select occasions for Channon (when Amazing Grace wasn’t in use). Born is the king of Sou-th-ampton |

If anyone can produce a list of more than 5 original saints chants between the 1960s-80s, I’d be impressed. I don’t think there’s many. |

I genuinely do not believe Saints have ever sung more than 3 original songs. Could someone give me a top 3? All the ones listed from the 60s to present day are the same songs sung by others with the name Southampton put in them. Even that lovely ay ay ay ay (cielito lindo) ditty was used by everyone. We sang you’ll never walk alone (liverpool/everyone), Knees up mother brown (everyone), by far the greatest team, we are “” the pride of “”. The idea of originality is pure nostalgia!! My top 3 which it seems we created 1. Our claus 2. Agboola 3. Angus Gunn to the tune of Baby Shark Thank you and good day. [Post edited 15 Jan 18:05]

Questionable disallowed goal there, with better than Yashin Eric Martin between the sticks. [Post edited 24 Dec 2025 14:57]

I'm with you, Heisenberg. A few years ago the difference between ourselves and top of the league was a 4,1 and 5,0 scoreline. Cov were well organised at 11 men, and you can see why they are top, however we had them on the ropes for a good portion of the game; there is no one to fear in this league. Onwards and upwards. Merry Christmas to you. |

Sounds like a similar trip to the one I had a few months ago: the Ypres (wipers) last post is certainly a stand out. Standing in a Poppy filled section of Flanders, or seeing where on the 1st July 1916 the 36th Ulster Division picked up 2,000 casualties in one day for their gains; it really puts life in perspective. |

The funny thing is the concept of the BBC - a reliable, unbiased, centre of news - is one which would fit a certain needed niche in a world of social media news. But the BBC simply is not that. Privatise please. I’d like to see the polling on this. |

Sacking Will Still would save Sport Republic. I want them gone first, Still can follow. |
