Ah, I just went in there from the start of last season for a bit of a laugh. I’ve never had a ST in the Northam and didn’t want to start; chose instead, along with my mate and his dad, the part of the ground furthest away from their rubbish. There must’ve been about 8 standing at the start (barely any signing other than certain parts of the game and we were told to sit down at some points).
Wanted to sing old songs to continue my knack of being called a grandad at the age of 22. Don’t really care how many come in as long as they aren’t cringe and obsessed with dodgy Northam banter. |

Subs killed us. Our new attacking signings are major downgrades. Don’t get me started on the change to 5atb.
Wellington isn’t as good going forward but knows how to defend - as soon as that numpty Manning comes on, his positioning is atrocious and is a major weakness. [Post edited 5 Sep 14:28]

It’s funny how he had a club which celebrated his coming onto the pitch, where he had enjoyed a decent half of the season.

2. Watching large amounts on TV, the “Started in a Chapel” song did seem to be on permanent repeat.
I’m rather glad with my choice to stay away from this one. They can go away with their high ticket price valuation and 4-1 balls of a performance. |

I left both Russell Martin Leicester games early: the 4-1 at home and the 5-0 away!
My father, who hasn’t been to a game since pre-covid, always used to make a thing out of never leaving early. This is the reason I can say I saw the 9-0 loss in totality. Saying that we did leave a Wolves cup game when they scored a second against us under Puel.
So maybe it isn’t a strict rule. |

I thought Edozie was quite good tbh.
The Dobbin decision was caused by an impressive pre-season, however it was misjudged; the result, in my opinion, is largely on the crap actions of Jack Stephens. Our midfield was weak without either Jander or Charles, though I thought Downes was right up for it.
Delivery into the box was poor from all: Scienza, Manning and Bree. What worried me the most was the drop off after Larin came off; in previous seasons our striker switch worked in our favour. Our new loanee striker could well be very good, but he does not have the impact or style of play of Stewart. The club are deluded to believe they can replace Stewart easily - his play and the alternation with Larin was a main part of our successful second half of last season.
Having said that, THB needs to put away his chance in the last minute. It is unacceptable to put that off target. |

No - they low balled a strike partnership which worked (Stewart and Larin), causing us to lose one of our main focal points of last season’s excellent second half. This new loanee of five goals ever better be good. Cheap option again. |
