Unfortunately the Australian and NZ governments aren't quite corrupt enough to fund the millions in bribes and kickbacks required to win a world cup bid nowadays. |

The A League has improved, to the point where it is now seen as a legitimate league to recruit young players from, and not just for English clubs. Big difference from playing 26 games in 6 months to the grind of the Championship, tho. |
