I never mentioned Sky TV, and never professed to 'know better', I pointed to the fact that the YouTube video at the top was posted by Sky Sports' Football YouTube channel. Do you use YouTube? [Post edited 9 Sep 15:06]

It was posted on Twitter, by the guy who shared it, that it was filmed in pre-season. Not sure what the issue with me responding to your insinuation?

It's Sky Sports that have released it, not us. I'm not sure how much influence the club would have over when this was released, even if they had a motive to. |

In the summer message from the co-chairs, they mention Tyjon alongside Mane as two players who left due to the academy closing down.
'Under youth development rules, we were not permitted to offer scholarship contracts to players in their U16 year during the 2023/24 season. Amongst others, this group included two youth internationals in Igor Tyjon and Mateus Mane. Contingent fees associated with the latter have already proved lucrative, with the potential of more to come.'
So Mane is definitely earning us money, and we may hopefully still get a sell-on if he leaves before the end of the transfer window as I know there was some interest at some point. Tyjon being mentioned in the same breath makes it seem like the same is true of him, so we might end up seeing some of this and any other future sell on. |

I’m pretty sure Beckwith was mostly a left back before he came to Dale. Hannah has played under him before so must have a role, I can see him further forward as a winger. In a physical league like this that’s going to be fast paced, I don’t think having a lot of options in central midfield is a bad thing. We will need them all over the course of the season and don’t want to be relying on a couple of individuals. |

We are incredibly lucky. The club has never been in such a strong position and I'm very excited about the future on and off the pitch thanks to everybody who's made it possible.
Good to see that the Mane compensation is paying some dividends, hopefully someone in the premier league will take a punt on him this Summer and we'll get a nice juicy sell on. |

I’ve heard on the grapevine of a big joint venture by us and the Council that will see a big complex built at Bowlee, with multi use sports pitches alongside our own bespoke training ground. We are putting a million into it and so are the council. |

We had plenty of sh!thouses under Coleman and that didn't go so well. I echo someone else's thoughts about being proud of the 'respectable' image our club has. I don't see the need for us to turn into a Duncan Ferguson type side, considering we're top of the league and all that. I'd hate to see us getting into the ref's face every game and scrapping at every opportunity. |

Any excuse to have a moan. The rain yesterday was absolutely biblical and there was no way the game was getting on. Loads of other games abandoned yesterday which would be even worse, and a late kick off is an extra couple of hours rainfall to contend with. Hardly embarrassing is right. |

Jay Bird was good but Mani gives us a completely different dynamic to how we play. He is the missing link from last season that we needed, someone that will reliably hit the back of the net when we are on top and can win every header that he gets to. The playing style was never the issue, as I’ve seen someone already say this season, it was the quality and attributes we needed in the right positions that wasn’t quite there throughout the squad. Now, so far, the squad looks capable of really pushing on. |
