Wednesday's third goal
at 16:41 21 Apr 2024

It looks to me like he had a perfectly good chance to grab the ball after the slice but prior to it going in the net but kind of, didn't. Looks more and more suspect every time I watch it.

FA Cup Replays Scrapped
at 13:49 21 Apr 2024

Football is much a reflection on society. The haves and have nots.

I lost a lot of respect for Pep yesterday with his insane rant. Moaning about the welfare of his players. Like someone said, you pick the team. You've got international multi-million pound players plonked on the bench that even most Premier League clubs would never be able to afford. It was like he wasn't even bothered they had got to yet another cup final they'll probably win.

The premier League finishes 3 weeks AFTER leagues 1 and 2 and yet those teams play an extra 8 league games. Most Premier League clubs don't play much more really, it's just the 'big 6' or whatever. But they've got the squad depth so they can't moan. That's why it should be hard to win a treble or whatever, you have to play the actual games.

I'm sure when the players retire at the age of 35 and look back they won't be thinking, 'oh I played far too many games' when they are counting their money stacks in the South of France. Most of us will be still working in our 60s.

Like many on here I've lost so much interest in football outside of QPR. Look at the bottom 3 in the Premier League and the top 4 in the Championship. It's a closed shop and beyond predictable. We've all had a laugh at Chelsea this season but if you look at the table now they will creep in to a European spot after all won't they. So no surprises yet again for who's finishing in the top.

To be fair 2 shots on target used to be pretty average for an entire 90 minutes for us not too long ago...

To be fair that goal wasn't his fault with that deflection.

His passing out from the back has been a bit suspect though. Unless you have high class defenders who are good with their feet I just don't understand why you would persist with those short goal kicks against Liverpool at Anfield, they literally have 3-4 players on you immediately.

Non alcoholic beer/lager......

Seconded for Brooklyn Special Effects. Very decent and enjoyable.

I also like the Brulo - Lust for Life IPA which you can get in Morrisons.

Infinite IPA is also decent, think it can be found in Sainsbury's.

Most of the non-alcoholic mainstream 'largers' are pretty awful.

Wouldn't that be two managers in a row to be sacked after failing to beat us?
Things at Norwich aren't all that rosey either, are they.

Fair enough, is what it is I guess. Not sure why they should play to GMT though. I guess travelling those kind of distances as well are not straight forward or cheap. Just think it is a shame but that's how football is these days. For the TV market not the actual match going supporter.

There's hardly anyone there.
Does anyone know the reasons behind this?

While we are at it regarding the players. I can't stand it when you see EVERY SINGLE PLAYER getting off the team coach with noise cancelling headphones or earbuds. Like, 'Don't talk to me, I'm too important'. I wonder if they all sit there on the coach for the entire journey like that. Yeah you have to be mentally 'in the zone' or whatever but would it kill you to say hello to some of the supporters who've come to have even a glimpse of you, or the stadium staff who are welcoming you when you arrive. You get some who say hello etc but it's very seldom.

I did however see Eze give a hug to a female steward by the tunnel the other day as Palace walked off at half time, have a quick chat and smile. That's incredibly rare these days. Apparently he is an extremely polite and friendly young man who gives a large amount of his time to charity and to his fans.

They already don't like him because of the way he celebrated with Willock at the den a few years ago. Which I whole heartedly applauded and made me smile.

His performance could hopefully keep them quiet today.

I noticed plenty of empty seats at Craven Cottage last night. I don't think it is just us.
Imagine our match had been a Friday night as well, would be even less here!

To be fair it didn't look too bad on the images from Final Score just now.
Although they did show a graphic with most 3rd round exits from the FA Cup (since 1920s).
Yes, we were top with 50. Cardiff in second with 47.

Another wrong un at this club. Probably couldn't be bothered to get the bus, I assume he is still banned from driving.

Richards…vanishing act again?
at 19:26 5 Jan 2024

If, as it is being widely speculated, he is suffering with mental health problems then it needs to be said. And it needs to be emphasised that he is receiving the appropriate treatment.
The more you stay hush hush about mental health the more it is treated like some kind of taboo subject, particularly with men. It's ridiculous it's treated as this can't be talked about thing in 2024.

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health (arguably more so) and the stigma should be removed. So when they say 'So and so is out with a hamstring injury' then they should just say Richards is not available with whatever it may be.
I have had mild depression and it is pretty unpleasant but I still managed to drag myself into work. But some days it was pretty difficult just to get out of bed, so I can understand if it is something like this, doesn't matter what you do as a job, it can be totally debilitating.

In saying that, if it is a case of he can't be bothered and is taking the p*** then like people have said, this is the curse of modern football. Any other industry would see you out on your ar*e.

Maybe Sir Les would still be at the club too and we'd be a much happier place without this shroud of uncertainty and misery.

Richards…vanishing act again?
at 19:06 2 Jan 2024

Has the manager ever been directly asked bout Richards in a press conference/interview?

As in, "Why is he never available?" or has this been met with a load of waffle about fitness/injury etc?

Would be interesting to see what the response from Marti would be if asked a direct question about it.
