New signings
at 14:35 20 Jan 2026

As per usual SR seem to be lagging behind all of the division in getting new players in.

Do they start thinking about which player they want on 31st December???

There are some teams that haven't brought anyone in yet such as Ipswich and Preston but that's probably because unlike us the players they bought in the summer have been a success, and of course Leicester who daren't buy anyone

Are SR ready to replace Eckert?

I’d take Frank definitely plus links to Ankersen which might mean Frank says no chance

We were making 💩 managerial appointments and 💩 player signings long before Spors. The issue goes far deeper than Spors

Are SR ready to replace Eckert?

You’d hope after previous experiences with big gambles like Jones, Selles, Juic, Still and now Eckert that SR might have learnt and been thinking about possible replacements from the point when they appointed Eckert just in case it didn’t work out

I am however convinced that they will drag this out in the hope that things turn around and when it’s clear that the Eckert gamble was another 💩 decision they’ll put a caretaker in charge and only at that point will they think about a permanent replacement

My team to play at Fratton and beyond
at 10:46 19 Jan 2026

I'm more or less with you Pat

I'd play 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1

GK: Peretz
RB: Bree - that just shows how far backwards we've gone
CB: THB
CB: Stephens - I think Wood has been awful and one of the main exponents of the sideways/backwards pass
LB: Welington
RM: Fellows
CM: Charles
CM: Jander - as long as he gets a break v Blades or possibly Bragg
LM: Leo
ATT: Arma
ATT: Stewart

or we could always go 4-3-1 formation with Peretz and McCarthy in goal

I'd seriously leave Wood out. I think he's been dreadful for a while now. He is too slow thinking. If on the odd occasion he does pass the ball forward he always passes it behind the player, never a pass to run onto. The recipient then has to check back by which time the oppostion player/s is on them and they end up with no option than passing it straight back to Wood. Then Wood invariably passes sideways or back to the keeper.

That's why I'd play Stephens. At least he is capable of passing forwards or bringing the ball into midfield

No but we’re going for another lightweight 18 year old midfielder from Wigan who we don’t need

7 Managers since 2022
at 22:55 18 Jan 2026

I can see Eckert losing to Sheffield United and getting sacked before the P*mpey game and then SR putting Lallana in charge at Fr*tton

Then Lallana will get a new manager bounce for 3 or 4 games and SR will give him the gig and we’ll be back to square one

Keep the faith Grumps, you never know SR might accidentally appoint the right man next🤣🤣

Personally I think we’ve got a squad that should be top 6 but SR have appointed two managers with virtually no experience

In fact three of SRs last five appointments, Selles, Still and Tonda had only managed for 125 games between the three of them before joining Saints. No wonder we’re in the 💩

Carrick
at 19:21 18 Jan 2026

Carrick has only been in charge of Man Utd for one game. Somehow VAR came to the conclusion that Dalot’s tackle was not a red card at 0-0. Had he gone Man Utd probably would have struggled

Where does the blame lie?
at 23:03 17 Jan 2026

Clearly it lies with Sports Republic but who in SR is the problem?

You can’t blame Spors because it was a 💩 show before he got here

You can’t blame Solak because he just puts the money in. So who is it that is making all the 💩 decisions?

Can’t even blame Wänkersen because he’s not really involved now

Why I think we shouldn’t sack Tonda
at 17:18 17 Jan 2026

I’m sure SR won’t even have thought about a replacement for Eckert so we’ll probably see Eckert sacked after losing to Blades and getting pumped by the Skates, then we’ll have two to three months with a caretaker manager while SR dither about which rookie to appoint next

Am I right or am I right?

FFS 10 subs, Hull players going down injured only 4 minutes injury time

I was hoping for 30 minutes so we could manage another shot

Why I think we shouldn’t sack Tonda
at 16:02 17 Jan 2026

Because I have absolutely no confidence in SR making the right appointment

Every decision, appointment, signing they have made has been appalling apart from a few

Might as well see if Tonda can save us from relegation

What a 💩 show

Leicester City points deduction

Exactly, in my opinion they are not doing anything about Leicester as it will set a precedence for Man City

We may as well splash Solak's cash and take our chances
