James McClean. Thoughts
at 11:11 21 Jul 2015

Whilst I find this regrettable* I have a bigger problem with him for playing for the North up and in the U21s then deciding he had a desire to play for the South. Whilst I firmly believe anyone born in the North has a right to play for the South as things stand. To get the coaching and support up until the 21s then decide to 'stand by your principles' is the behaviour of someone with no principles at all.

Worth remembering, there are many Northern Irish catholics that turn out for Northern Ireland each game and choose not to sing the anthem, some of them also come from nationalist communities, they don't feel the need to turn their back, they just stand silent and more power to them. Everyone treats McLean as if he is the only one of his kind. Well there are many, many others that keep their dignity and principles without the need to make such public statement about it. It's those people on both sides, that are prepared to move beyond the point scoring (for the want of a better statement) that will be the future of that country. Those that are bitter and want to keep highlighting the wrongs of the past (on both sides lets remember) are the roadblock to an easier life for everyone. IMHO.

*My mum lives in the south and they often play the Irish anthem in the pub at closing. A friend of ours was there and refused to stand for it, as he said 'I wouldn't stand for any national anthem'. It came close to trouble needless to say but my Mum's view was that it was about respect for the country you are in. You might not like it, but you do it. He didn't have to turn, no-one expects him to belt it out.

QPR financial train crash explained with clarity
at 15:24 27 May 2015

So this is where you've all been...

Just posted this above (like a div).

I have long thought Fernandes is a childish clown who lets his emotions and need for acceptance / love / praise run riot through our club over the last few seasons.

Just wondering, can anyone suggest an alternative should he step down?

Apologies if this has been posted before. Well worth a read, and about as in depth coverage wise as you'll likely to see of our finances in a digestible way.

Which of the four would you like to avoid next season
at 12:14 3 May 2015

Do we really think we'll be challenging to go straight back up again?

I think we are a few years away from that. Unless we have a really good summer recruitment wise, and lets face it, when was the last time we had one of those.

The club needs rebuilt IMHO.

Interesting.

If this was taken 15 years ago, the results would have been very different, and in 15 years time they'll be different again.

All this 'biggest club' bollox is a nause,

I don't bother about other teams and their size. We've enough to worry about.

Seems fair enough though.

Domain names
at 11:32 27 Mar 2015

Much of a muchness IMHO.

I'd consider what you are going to do with it. If you are going to host a site on it (and why else would you be buying one unless you are squatting on one) I'd look for the hosting package you want, as most will supply a domain free with said package.

Hosting is another mare, so many options but as with anything, you get what you pay for.

If your site is going to become part of your livelihood, treat it as such and go with Rackspace or someone similar. If its a hobby thing you can afford to be shop around a bit.

Media Temple are ok, but they were recently bought by Go Daddy. So far no major issues with them

I know this isn't news, but it hasn't been mentioned thus far...

The man is an utter c*nt.

You don't need to discuss or try to rationalise anything he has done, all you need is right there in that sentence.

An utter, utter c*nt.

Hope that helps. Apologies for not adding anything more constructive.

Why Does It seem Worse This Time?
at 21:02 23 Mar 2015

It's much worse than last time. The groundhog day feel to it is a factor.

But its so much less enjoyable. Even last time out we had some good away trips, this season I has been turgid. I've hardly been near the place, with a season ticket. No way I am going to renew next year. I'm done with it until TF leaves.

He's put more money into the club than all the previous regime's combined (throwaway headline. No proof at all) but he's also irrevocably changed the club more than any other board. We are at best laughed at, at worst despised.

A 30k seater stadium? When a game against Chelsea goes to general sale.

Wise the f*cking Bap.

And for that reason, and the many, many others, I am out.

Obviously this is an emotive issue, and depression is a terrible disease.

But this thing of minutes applause every time something happens isn't sustainable. If we celebrate / remember / eulogise every cause or unfortunate incident, no matter how heart breaking or worthy, the game will be 90 minutes or clapping.

Why not donate some money to www.mind.org.uk instead of clapping?

Tweet of the week - Dave Mc
at 23:52 4 Feb 2015

This is one of my many gripes with Fernandes. Just shut your mouth for a while and get on with the job. Stop seeking attention from a load of divs on Twitter you needy muppet.

FFS. I can't think of many other chairmen that court interaction so much. Folks say how open and great it is.

It isn't. It's pathetic.

Ferdinand/Redknapp Stand-Off
at 00:38 17 Jan 2015

Obviously anything can happen / change in the game, but Dave isn't one to publish guesswork or a stab in the dark. The one thing we all know is that Ferdinand cares about the club. We also should see a more modern approach to the squad/training/game.

And an end to excuses hopefully.
