Anyone else think it was an unfortunate choice to be playing in an all black strip on a baking hot summer’s afternoon? I felt like I was slowly roasting in the S Africa Road stand. I thought our players looked like they were struggling with the heat, particularly in the first half. I reckon Middlesbrough had a 2 or 3 degree advantage in their white strip. |

Thanks for the report Saffa. I was unable to watch the match but friends who were watching complained of it being boring, at least in the first half. I watched the extended highlights and I thought we played some very good football. Feeling very positive for next season. |

Great report Clive. They don't write themselves! Nice to meet you finally after the Millwaal game. Wanted to agree with the point above about the ref and pushing. At the time I made the comment that he'd ignored Ipswich pushing our players from behind throughout the first half and then finally awards a free kick against Hayden for very little contact just outside the box. Little moments change games. Don't think we deserved to win but it was a turning point. |

Thanks Clive. I had tears in my eyes on Friday night and your brilliant writing brought them back again. Loftus Road is a truly magical place and I’ve been under its spell for over 50 years. Unable to be there on Friday but watched on TV. My roars for each of the goals was as loud as if I were standing on the terraces! Had to go round to the student house next door to apologise for the noise. 🥹 |
