Doesn’t matter what standard of football you play you can’t afford to make mistakes and with Jack Stephens in the side we’re never too far away from a mistake! On what planet does he think a hoof into the middle of the pitch back towards our goal is sensible thing to do and being a defender aren’t you supposed to challenge for the ball, not run alongside the attacker?! His defending is inept at times and suicidal on other occasions. If THB goes there isn’t anyway we’re getting promoted with JS at the back!! |

In basic terms we will be Boo whether Tonda is there or not, but one thing is for sure we’ve got a much best chance of success next season with Tonda in charge! For me the whole process around the EFL’s decision to kick the Saints out was a sham. How can you call the panel independent when two of the three people on the panel have had links with Middlesbrough? No one is questioning that! Who appointed the panel? Did the Chief Executive of Middlesbrough who sits in the EFL board have a say in the panel’s formation?
As a result of that farce I’m of a mind to say stuff what people think and keep Tonda on! Whether he’s at the club or not Saints’s name is mud for a long time so why not give everyone something to really moan about?! They might just moan for a little longer with him in charge?!
With Tonda still there hopefully we won’t have an horrendous season?! |

I’m sorry but for me the punishment doesn’t fit the crime! Southampton did wrong and deserved punishment, but the fallout from this mess is going to be catastrophic! The squad is going to be decimated, the coaching team is going to be decimated, our sponsorships are going to be decimated, season ticket sales are going to be decimated.
I’m not condoning cheating, but did we really gain such an advantage as to now suffer this likely fallout?

The enormity of what has happened is beginning to sink in and I’m feeling empty this morning. I believe Southampton FC have always had a good reputation, a plucky smaller club who has produced quality players over the years. No more! We’ll now be known as cheats for years to come. I’ve supported Saints from afar for 50 years, always proud to identify my allegiance, not sure how I feel right now?!
Putting up with the trials and tribulations over the years has been one thing, but this is a new low and I’m not sure where we go from here?

If the guy spying was relaying information then he didn’t do a very good job, unless of course his material was deleted before getting back to the club?! They were all over Azaz, he didn’t get a kick, their centre back albeit at times manhandling Larin did a job on him and we didn’t cope well with the high press in the first half. But fair play to Tonda and the players for turning it around in the second half!
Matsuki for Azaz on Tuesday night might give them more to think about because the Japanese can be more mobile than Finn at times? |

For me the major change in this squad happened after the formation changed and Daniel Peretz came in, going from wing backs to a flat back 4. We then had round pegs in round holes! You would hope that professional footballers would be able to adapt to formation changes and the very very best can, but not the Saints’s defenders. That said as defenders in a back 4 they’ve been magnificent! |

Fantastic performance all round. Larin is such a nuisance, brings a whole new dimension to our attacking play. Bree had a tough day against Mason-Clark, but did extremely well. Love the way the defence give each other High Fives for blocks/clearances etc. Think that a Peretz effect. He’s always chatting. His save in the first half was outstanding!
If they don’t move the Wrexham game then that is extremely unfair on us! No other team will have faced less than 72 hours turnaround in the Championship so far this season and ours will be 43 hours from the cup game against Arsenal! |

If we are serious about the playoffs then we should be putting the likes of Charlton to the sword! I agree that we do tend to lose focus if we get into a lead. Rather than going for a second and third goal we look to sit on what we’ve got and unfortunately we’re not good enough to do that.

The window for Saints was all about reducing costs, apart from maybe AA? I do get the point that a big squad can have its issues, let’s hope that with the squad being significantly trimmed that a great spirit emerges, time will tell.
And I hope that Tonda has been getting a say in what has been going on. Certainly with another big centre forward coming in it seems that a back 4 is here to stay and with a midfield 4 we’ll be getting lots of crosses into the box!
That said with just two loanees coming in it’s not the most progressive transfer window! |

Notwithstanding the possible arrival of Larin, it is difficult to fathom why we would let Armstrong go when we know about Ross Stewart’s injury record. Unless of course as has been mentioned he is a major contributor to dressing room unrest?! As a few have said, it would be a mistake to go straight back into the Premier League and become cannon fodder once again. The team is miles off being able to compete at the top of the Championship let alone the Premier League and we should be looking for consolation this season, particularly now after such a poor start. Therefore you could make an argument to keep Will Still in place and let him try and build a style of play that could develop a good side.
I’m not convinced by him though and feel he should be sacked. His demeanour doesn’t inspire, his substitutions are strange and in most games this season we’ve handed the initiative to the opposition in the second half of games where I feel a manager worth his salt would find a way to manage games better and get us to the win. |

After the managerial shambles of last season I was desperate for Will Still to succeed and I’ve been a happy clappers disagreeing with calls for him to be removed, but there seems to be something seriously wrong going on in the changing room. I find Will Still boring in his pre/post match interviews and if he’s like this when with the players I could understand why they might not want to play for him. I feel now that he should be removed from his post and we need to get someone in who has a bit more about them and from whom you can get enthused! |

I don’t think Still had much to do with the summer signings. Damien Downs doesn’t appear to be good enough and certainly Still isn’t a fan.
Our player recruitment has been poor for a good few seasons now, the focus should have been on a proven centre forward even if it had meant splashing the cash!
If we had taken chances we would probably have had 3 more wins this season.
