I think 9/2 and 5/1 are pretty goods odds in a 24 horse race to get a top 8 placing without having to lay out any win money.
At 66/1 to win the league at 1/4 the odds 1st 3 if we finish 3rd ypu only get about 8/1 your money so another 5 places for 3 betting points surrendered is prerty goid odds in bookie terms. |

Better odds is 16/1 with ladbrokes to get promoted. Finish 8th and win the play offs ...simples

Love these injury threads. Just shows how difficult it is for the physios this thread ckaims Madsens injury varies from a head injury folliwing a clash of heads, a damaged ankle folliwing a one legged landing and an imoact injury follwing a tackle.
If all these are right poor man could be out for months ! |

Used to stand their with my brother in law and his grandad ( who told me a story of how he went to the 1923 White horse cup final but due to the huge crowd came back to Rangers and watched the reserves).
I used to take my cousin who fancied my brother in laws cousin, week after week until he finally asked her out. They've been married 53 years now ! Proper Pikeys eh! |

Great post my first game was at the White city, a 22 draw with shrewsbury ( i think). Used to spend school holidays at the ground watching training and getting autographs. Sold programmes, golden goal tkts as a kid too. With the leather satchel for the coin.
I think Brian Bedford was my first hero player though Stuart Leary ran him close .
Renewed again for this year and hopefully a few more to come. Would love to be around longbenougb fir one mire stab at the top div, but if not it still our Rangers and i and many like me will still go. |

Two home wins in a week wd also beat Ipswich (?) 2 1 and thought we were on our way but it was sadly a long time befire we won again against very angry Terry Hennesay for forest Again I think. Stand to be corrected on that one.

On the wider issue if its the best offer in town rhen why not take it. Yeh we could cull a development team space to save the money,.but what if that ypungster turns out to be an Eze or a Ferdinand 5 years later,? The same people will bemoan the fact. |

Reference passing tickets to others outside the age group there is a system where you can pay for an upgrade . Ie my son may use my oap ticjet 6 times a season by payimg the difference in pricing before game day. So the option exists.
Saw 'youngsters' being checked age wise at the Preston game in the 10 minutes i was having a beer outside a good 6 or so were challenged and found wanting.
Not sure what happens next to them or the ticket holder.
On the accrued sell on monies the season ticket blurb just issyes says that yoy have to apply for the refund to your bank account. It cannot be automatically set against renewal.
Personally a 5% increase on my ticket is more than acceptable ( i was expecting more) but some of the other decisions are strange, to say the least |

Many of the posters are talking about match day capacity, which is obviously a factor.
But a main consideration will be making the stadium a 7 day week venue for 365 days a year , not an every 2 week venue.
It will be designed with conference suites, function venues and hopefully a food and drink offering around the ground like that at the amex stadium.
Lets open our eyes to the wider opportunies for earnjng money that will make the club more sustainable and help us with the psr rules.
The location with the proposed HS2 and Elizabeth line links will be very attractive for conferences and seminars etc. |

With reference to say, the Crown. ( other establishments are available)
In Brighton many of the pubs run coaches to and from the Amex. At a nominal cost it works for the publican ,trade pre and post match, and for the fans.
I'm sure if a stadium was built at OOC it could work, people just need to think outside the box.
I love Loftus Road and have been going for over 65 years but I accept we need to move and build a stadium that earns for us every day not just one day a fortnight. |
