I'm surprised to see Vic Mobley on the list. In one cup
game (might have been Sheff Wed) he was totally heroic. Thereafter he carried a long term injury which ruined his career.

Surely we can find room for Steve Morrow, the clown who broke his arm being hoisted aloft, led our charge towards relegation and had an attitude that stank while achieving nothing.

Apart from cost two other major factors are drink driving legislation and the smoking ban.

First league game I remember was Charlton vs Notts County in 1958. My dad had some business with Charlton and they invited him to sit in tbe directors box so he took me along. All I remember really is the Valley was absolutely huge and some guy called Eddie Werge scored a hat trick.
I hasten to add that was the last time I sat in a directors box.

He had a flawed history and a numer of faults. But no person should be hounded in this way. People at Cambridge and in the media should be examining themselves and their movation very closely.

I see that during Middlesex's game against Sussex in the Metro cup at Radlett a Miðlesex player was abused racially by a Sussex supporter. He was ejected.
Is it my imagination or is the Moron count substantially increasing?

Went through Laois on a train journey from Dublin to Limerick once. Exceptionally dull. Plenty of peat though if you're into that sort of thing.

If I had to describe Loftus Road in one word it would be be "intimate". Having a lummox in the next seat taking up half your seat is not the height of comfort which is part of the reason I very rarely visit, the other being age.
I greatly admire Brentford and the way they went about their move. Dealing with the London Borough of Hounslow I guess must be a lot easier than Hammersmith, but feel will have to emulate the Bees at some stage soon or we will never compete.
