Yes, but bear in mind the club are dealing with a police force who can put on a mcr derby at seemingly any time of day to suit sky but insist on dale v Oldham being a 12.30 ko regardless of tv coverage. |

Seem to remember that objections to Denehurst Park being converted for training pitches years ago & it’s ultimate failure was partly due to the “taking my dog for a Tom tit” lobby…. Oh and also the value of my house lobby which Norman Smith et al were only too happy to jump on the back of…
Fast forward 30 odd years & if a national house building/supermarket chain were to sniff around the Bowlee site then no doubt it would be rushed through the planning process quicker than a Saturday night vindaloo!!
Meanwhile, one of the largest industrial sites north of Mcr (TBA) remains derelict. |

We are starting from a different place 49th, having previously rented our training facility we now own it & will make considerable savings as a result. Dale have for years been known as a club that nurtures young talent while also rehabilitating “broken toys” (for want of a better phrase). I would think that we’ll have yearly open trials & also try to re establish a scouting network. It’ll take time but long term I see it bearing fruit, we are a well run operation who pay our bills (Robknotter) which will stand us in good stead going forward. |

Got to feel sorry for Egypt having 1 goal disallowed (it was a foul in the build up) but they also had a penalty shout waved away just before the Argies scored their winner.
Strangely although there were several replays of the foul committed just before Egypts chalked off effort there were none to show whether Salah had been impeded or not just before Argentina went up the other end & got their winner!!
Anyone would think there’s something fishy going on… & if Blatter of all people is weighing in about Infantino & the Balogun saga… |

It seems that many of the teams playing a “low block” (defending deep in English) have actually done ok against the so called fancied sides. I wonder if Tuchels omission of Foden & Palmer might not come back to bite him in games to come.
Playing to a formula has been fashionable of late but I still think that you can’t legislate for game changing players who can play off the cuff & do the unexpected. From a Dale perspective you don’t need to look any further than Abdul Malik at Wembley.
Mavericks potentially change games. It’d be a shame if they were forced out by tactical dogma. |

Perhaps an open meeting both for existing & potential members ?
The trust could use it to reach out & perhaps remind fans why they exist & the huge part they played in saving our club? It would also be an opportunity to sound out ideas going forward to next season.
Maybe members of the CAB could attend also, their does seem to be some confusion as to the roles of both organisations & it would be a good platform for the fans to quiz both parties. |

Precisely. With our financial stability, forward thinking ownership & plans in place to move forward the club is in arguably a better position than ever (certainly in my lifetime).
It’s an attractive proposition for the right manager to take the club to the next level. |

A well deserved holiday for the lads & now it’s over to the backroom staff to have a massive push on season ticket sales. We’ve never had so much publicity, let’s strike while the irons hot & go for the magic project 5000 (once the hangovers wear off)!!
