Peter Bleksley - One of our own
at 19:05 7 Apr 2020

I've known him for years too. Met him most at away games and occasionally at the Crown and Sceptre. He's moved seats I think but I bumped into him in the upper Loft earlier in the season and he still remembers my name. Ace guy who likes to keep a low profile.

RIP Dean McKee

My daughter went to school with him and met him on the way to games at Loftus Road. It has brought it home to her. So sad to die so young. RIP Dean and best wishes to his family.

No leaders on the pitch
at 22:51 1 Feb 2020

Without Leistner or Cameron on the pitch today, their was nobody able to take control of the defence or midfield. The ball seemed to remain in our half during the first 45 mins - pass back sideways back sideways to no effect. So, City was able to block anything coming forward. Our usually inspired players Eze and BOS lacked pace and inspiration today. We improved after bringing subs on but never looked like scoring despite the chances created.
For me the only positive from today was Kelly's input. He was involved at crucial times helping his defence out. My neighbour kept saying 'Lumley would not have done that' as he spotted dangers and snuffed them out. This is going to be a tough end of season without a quality striker. Kelly is going to be a critical player from now on as goals look like they are going to be thin on the ground. Fingers crossed that we survive.

Man of the match kelly
at 11:26 19 Jan 2020

Before the game, we saw the team choice. As soon as we saw Kelly's name on the sheet we relaxed and looked forward to the game. We knew that he could make intelligent decisions. He made several important saves. In addition he knew when to come off his goal line to assist his defence. Fingers crossed he remains in goal for us.

Just Back

That was a blinding performance today. I loved the first 90 minutes only to be brought back to reality in the 91st. That's three games in a row that a goal has been scored against us in added time. Lumley had the time to lean left to palm the ball away but he only managed to palm it into his own net. A sharp reminder about how delicate our league position remains with a dodgy keeper. I did enjoy the experience of watching our squad doing such a great job. The back four even worked with Wallace and Cameron in control. What a performance from BOS. He gets better every game. A positive start to the year.

Calamity Lumley
at 18:47 29 Dec 2019

10 outfielders playing their socks off again today. 1-0 up we are in control of the game. Lumley's limited brain function switched off yet again. Catches ball and brain decides to drop it. Second half ball comes across the goal, Lumley could have done something, anything - maybe even move, but no. He went into statue mode again. I keep scratching my head to try and remember a worse goalkeeper than this. Maybe Tony Roberts, but that's it. If we get decent money for Eze in January, we must use it to buy a half decent keeper. Team morale must be under serious pressure knowing that he will let at least two goals in every game. How do you motivate a team that knows that the guy in goal is useless.

The Lumley duck - Barnsley v Rs 14 December
at 12:24 15 Dec 2019

I have watched how the first two goals happened over and over again. For the first goal, the ball was kicked towards Lumley and after it was kicked he ducked down to avoid it, with his arms by his side. He could have at least raised his arms. For the second goal, the ball was kicked and after that he ducked down with his arms by his side. Again, if he'd raised his arms he might have stopped it going in. He brain does not seem to engage quick enough for a keeper. I do hope Kelly returns soon.
