Thanks Clive, a great report, and I’m old enough to remember the Skids, Into the Valley, indeed, further lyrics were ‘this disease is catching, from victory to stone’ as our injury list starts to mount up already. Only my second game attended after the Bolton game, I must be a jinx. I enjoyed watching Kamara and Madsen in midfield, and a game we dominated but rarely looked like scoring. We’ll certainly need to stretch our squad and seeing players out of position to fill gaps. I hope Lamptey is not out for long, if it wasn’t for his injury record, he would definitely be playing for a premier league club. Smyth was frustrating as didn’t seem to offer himself and apart from the missed chance was invisible. The Charlton defence was well marshalled, and they had Burrell well shackled. Still, always take an away point. |

Thanks Simon, an excellent read and like many clubs, a technically insolvent business and reliant upon continued support and equity injections from the shareholders. A thankless task as your headline of running fast to stand still sums up, and each season is like ground hog day, early cup exits, a similar league position and much more lows than highs. We’re the opposite of the likes of Brighton and Brentford who always get it right on managerial appointments and make huge profits on player transfers. We live in more hope than expectation that we’ll see any real progress in league position and suspect the only thing going up will be the size of the shareholders loans or equity injections. |

Thanks Clive, great report, I wasn’t planning to be here but was offered a ticket by an old work colleague Ipswich fan, so suffered this in the home end. He was quite anxious as sees us as a bogey team, but looked much more relaxed after 9 minutes. I was fearful of a result similar to Coventry away, this was absolute torture. Our defending wasn’t even good enough to be described as amateurish, it was just embarrassing. Do we stick or twist, I’m not sure about Stéphan, and the back room team, but he just seems far too passive and tactically inept which is very surprising given his experience. We have so many weak positions and unlikely the finances for a complete squad overhaul, so likely more of the same for next season.

A mediocre team with a mediocre manager having a mediocre season, I shouldn’t be surprised. Too many games like this where the opposition just seem to want it much more than us. The last two games have helped me with a decision, do I buy a season ticket for next season or put the money towards a tour around Vietnam and Cambodia. Deposit paid for the holiday and remain a part time supporter. The club knows how to suck all the enjoyment out of football, the lows always outweigh the highs. A friend said at least you’re not a Leicester fan, but I would take that right now for the wonderful memories they have, supporting QPR really can be quite joyless! |

Totally agree with everything you say and a totally shambolic first half and just relieved we weren’t 4-5 goals down at half time. Millwall were a different class and likely a different division next season, a very well run club with great recruitment and a manager well suited to the club. Progress very slow for us, not much of any improvement and still weak in a number of key areas. Madsen was a breath of fresh air, someone capable of playing forward passes to a teammate’s feet. As for the rest of them, a game to forget, they should hang their heads in shame! |

A great match report and I couldn’t see us winning another game this season after that shocking 4 game losing streak with some awful performances, and here we are, 3wins on the bounce and thrashing poor Pompey. I missed the Pompey game due to illness, but throughly enjoyed this game. Typically left biting my fingernails the last 10 minutes, but defence looked solid. If we can get Norrington-Davis on a permanent, and bring in a new keeper, we’ll be well placed for next season. Walsh’s positioning is all over the place, and he should have saved the free kick. Over the season he will cost us too many points. |

Definitely Edwards best game and Vale, whilst so inconsistent is a game changer when in form. At least relegation fears are ended, but still another very poor season. How Leicester have fallen apart, we were lucky to have them on our fixture list following 4 disgraceful performances. The QPR fans are quite passive and put up with a lot of crap, and the team owed us that 2nd half performance. Hopefully a new goalkeeper is a priority for next season but likely we’ll be roughly the same position this time next season after another 3rd round cup exit, just feels like a football groundhog season year after year! |

When you can’t tackle, pass, close down the opposition or at least bust a gut trying, you’ve got no hope. Every team we play are completely outclassing us, playing with more purpose and with a game plan. We’re offering nothing, Varane is just a total liability, Saito and Smyth ineffective, Mbengue just brain dead at times, it’s hard to take any positives. It’s as bad as it’s ever been and whilst not completely the managers fault, do we allow things to continue in the hope 3 teams manage to finish below us. It needs something radical in the short team, even a Warnock to shake things up. Stéphan has run out of time, and has lost the dressing room. Or a sacrificial lamb such as Ben Williams, the so called Performance Director. On results and performances this dire, there has to be accountability, if any of us where as bad as this at our job we would have long ago been fired! |

Totally agree with your comments and we really do need to question the executive management, totally incompetent. A painful experience and gut wrenching given the lack of effort and professionalism, and total mismanagement in terms of tactics and substitutions. Stéphan doesn’t sound convincing and really doesn’t know what to do. My bad luck I also attended with a Brentford supporting work colleague whose brother in law was down from Middlesbrough for the game. The 3 pints of Guinness no where near enough to deaden the pain beforehand. The Brentford guy even had a bet for us to lose 4-0, I went for just 2-0 thinking we would try and pack the defence out to try and keep the score line respectable. Hackney was a joy to watch, they are definitely the best team I’ve seen this season, look at least two divisions above us. They just tore us apart and should have scored more. As the Brentford guy said to me on the way out, how do we keep getting it so wrong season after season! |

I think the manager will be looking for an exit within a year and too many players just not good enough. Varane’s only forward pass all game was criminal laying on a goal for the opposition. Bennie hardly touched the ball, Saito looked fragile and totally of the pace, and Esquerdinha hopelessly out of his depth. What’s so depressing is the total lack of progress, we just don’t seem to improve year on year, and another season that I can’t wait to come to an end! We should be safe from relegation which is as good as it gets really. |

I gave the Hull game a miss only to attend this one, starting to wonder whether I’m a jinx. I managed to stay until the 80th minute but all quite soul destroying at times. Some players being flogged to death when needing a rest, and some when turning in a bad performance make it an absolute stinker. Walsh had a nightmare, and deserves dropping. You could say that about a few of them. The playoffs and the dream of the promised land, who really wants it. We would likely finish with nil points and get a good stuffing from Brentford, Chelsea and Fulham, it would be embarrassing and entirely miserable. We’re light years away from the Premiership and currently just a mid table Championship side at best. I’ve long given up hope of ever seeing the glory days again! |

I’ve often left the ground frustrated and angry, totally bored, and occasionally jubilant, but never absolutely stunned. I still can’t believe we lost this, talk about snatching defeat from a win or at worst a draw. Madsen had a great game and Vale scored a wonderful goal. Mbengue was just brainless with the challenge but otherwise we just found every way possible to lose this. The lack of leadership when someone needed to get a grip and do some cynical time wasting and also try and get the team organised. Stephan for someone so experienced is often slow with the substitutions, and often makes the wrong decision. A tough run of fixtures and can’t see a win for a while now. |

I left with 15 minutes to go and was surprised Ipswich didn’t add to their goal tally. Simply awful, we’ll still lose a lot more games than we’ll win this season. Should be 3 teams worse than us and I expect a finish around 15th place and the usual exit in the 3rd round of the FA cup, so not a lot to get excited about! |

From the utter despair of the Coventry game to where we are now, quite incredible really. I was convinced we had a manager that wouldn’t last beyond October and a shambles of a team with relegation written all over them. Very exciting to watch, I love a 442 formation with pace an power and skilful wingers. Saito was great to watch and has moved up a gear from last season. Vale has bags of potential and took his goal very well and hit it instinctively when he had no time to think about it. Kone is the real deal, we’ll only have him for a season or two before he goes for a big money move. Very much a Gerry Francis look about the team, love it!

Lost for words, the club are just so unprofessional, unfit players, no game plan, not motivated, and a puppet manager that seems to be unable to communicate effectively. The heavy defeat seems to have shaken up the club with a few signings being completed today and you would really hope we could never play that badly again, an absolute disgrace. We shouldn’t expect miracles and likely we’ll be rock bottom after 10 games played and a long hard season ahead. Nourry’s reign as chairman has been a disaster so far and no sign of any progress yet. |

An excellent match report and I was shocked just how poor we were in the first half, absolutely abysmal. Just like last season, a slow start, injuries and players out of position and just completely out of sorts. 20 games in we will be bottom 3 and just relying on 3 worse teams than us come end of season. Persevering with Madsen is like starting with 10 men, midfield non existent, far too easy for Watford. I was enjoying my Saturdays more during the break, I need another sport to follow! |

Going through the motions, it’s all about progress and we haven’t achieved it, apart from Nardi, no better than last season. Still a centre half at right back, a left back out of contract shortly, an ageing centre half, an always injured centre half, a non existent strike force, a hot potch of midfielders, even Marti sounding deluded now!! Another squad overhaul coming and more of the same next season. |
